Boma or Tusker house

We have gone to Bomas on every trip to Disney as we love it but I was wondering if this year we should try Tusker house for the first time. I sometimes think it would be nice to not have to catch a bus to the AKL, back to AK and then to our resort, was wondering if anyone can tell me what their experience was like at Tusker house, did you enjoy it as much or even close to Bomas?

Not sure if you mean breakfast or dinner. We have had breakfast at Tusker House and enjoy it a lot. I love the atmosphere of the place. I have had dinner at Boma and didn't enjoy it so I can't help with something similar. I guess I need more traditional kinds of food.

Boma is a MUST for us every trip, we never miss it. We have been to Tusker House and it was good but I personally would not replace it with Boma. We typically only get to WDW every two years but if you go more frequently then absolutely give Tusker House a try. You have to try everything one

I actually like Tusker House, but it's not good enough to choose instead of Boma, which is one of my absolute favorite restaurants on property. I view Tusker House as "Boma-light." It's good, but it's not the real thing.

If you're interested in trying Tusker House, I suggest making a breakfast reservation. It is my new favorite character meal.

We've been to Tusker House for both breakfast and lunch, and while we thought both were good we would not go back to either. We did not think there were enough choices for us. (We thought the breakfast was better than the lunch.)

We have also been to Boma for dinner once before too - we enjoyed Boma more.... (The character interaction at Tusker House for breakfast was very good though!)

We have also been to Boma's for breakfast and dinner. I'm really not in favor of spending alot of money and time (if you aren't staying at AKL) on breakfast. Dinner, a must for our family. We make an entire evening out of it - dinner and explore the resort.

I suggest dinner at Boma's.

We like Tusker House and Boma. We used to go to Boma all the time, but lately we've been doing more Tusker House. It's just easier to walk in there when we're at AK & my husband LOVES the seafood stew. We could make a meal out of just that.

Tusker House has some exotic foods but the desserts aren't nearly as good as Boma. Also the selection isn't that large.

And Tusker is less expensive, so you have to take that into account too. The environment at Tusker House is pretty cool.

So, I would do Tusker House since you're paying oop and also you'd rather not have to leave the park & head to AK. But it isn't just like Boma, so don't expect it to be. Tusker House has some great food items, but they don't have the soups & desserts like Boma.
