Boma or Sanaa?

With the new buffet price raise, we actually cut both of them from our trip. I'd double check the new prices and be sure Boma is still worth it to you at it's current $. I've heard incredible things about both, though. It just depends on what you're after. Boma gives you more variety for the buck from what I've been told.

They are two completely different experiences.

BOMA - large, buffet, louder and you fend for yourself. Wide assortment of food, lots of flavors and very good.

SANAA - small, served, quieter and excellent service. Narrow menu. Tastes matters here, I like a few things so I order them over and over.

In the most recent years we have only been going to Sanaa for lunch, so it's light with the animals.

Most definitely Sanaa. It is my favorite restaurant on property right now. I used to love Boma, but I have been disappointed with the changes over the last few years. Hubby and I went to Boma for dinner a couple of weeks ago and we both hated it. (Breakfast on the other hand is fabulous)

BOMA, BOMA, BOMA. I've eaten at both and like both but I love the soups/stews that Boma offers and the deserts are the best!

We have been to both many times and here is my take:

Boma is louder and more chaotic, but offers much more choice. You get the African flavors, but they are more "Americanized" for lack of a better word. Toned down to suit a wider range of tastes.

Sanaa is quieter, with fewer choices, but IMO better quality food. It is however a more "exotic" spice palate. The nann service at Sanaa is not to be missed.

If you have picky eaters or people who don't always care for the African/ Indian spice palate and offerings, Boma is the way to go.

If you are looking for a quitter more "authentic" ( well as close as disney gets) meal. Sanaa all the way. We personally prefer Sanaa.
