Boma or Ohana dinner?

Boma for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every time over 'Ohana. I loved the buffet and thought there was a great variety of food to try and the atmosphere was great. It felt warm and inviting, a great place to have a meal. I was severely disappointed in 'Ohana when we did eat there, though the bread was fantastic.

Boma seven days a week and twice on Sunday. Ohana is the only restaurant I have ever eaten at that was successful at having the same piece of meat overcooked and undercooked at the same time. It was charred to a crisp on the outside and cold, red and bloody in the middle.

Thanks everyone! Luckily we are all pretty good eaters so either menu would work- this would be for our last day where we are doing a half day at AK and then resting at the resort before dinner. We have Ohana booked now for 7:20 but I was considering Boma because of good reviews I have read. It's me, DH, DS 11 and DS 9 months. (Sorry I should have included that info initially- I was half asleep!) thank you again for the feedback and any more is definitely welcome!!!

I like them both. Is your resort AKL? If it is, I would say Boma. On your last day, if you are spending a half day at Animal Kingdom, and then relaxing at AKL, then trying to get over to Ohana and back would eat up too much time and eat into your relaxing. If your resort is closer to Ohana, then I would probably choose Ohana.

After all the rave reviews I've read, we tried Boma on our last trip. That was our first and last time as we didn't like it at all. It's just not our type of food. Ohana - we LOVE it and it's a must every trip.

Thank you everyone for the input! We are staying at OKW but we spent our honeymoon at AKL so it has a special place in my heart. It seems like people are really split on this one... I think I may be leaning towards Boma now for more variety and what sounds like a bit better consistency. Ohana is still on our to do list for the future though!!!

So I was wondering. We originally had a Boma dinner and a breakfast planned. But finding that we may do better eating a QS in park on our second night at AK. So will we be missing out on a ton of great selections by just doing breakfast?

this is a very tough call...can't go wrong either way. I would go Ohana for dinner and fit Boma in for B-fast

So we have an Ohana dinner, also. So you think a Boma breakfast and skip Boma dinner would be ok?

I've been to both Boma breakfast and dinner - both are excellent (food and value). Would go with what ever fits plans etc.

Ohana. Hands down my family's favorite . Great food and atmosphere . My daughter learned to hula dance at ohana and she loved it.

My family and I hated the food at Boma due to the fact that everything tasted like it was covered with cinnamon. OTOH we like everything about Ohana and go almost every trip. The food, drinks, atmosphere, entertainment--Ohana is the whole package.

Another vote for Boma! It has the most amazing food of any buffet on property. 'Ohana dinner was ok, nothing to write home about.
