Boma or Ohana Breakfast??

Hi!! I will be making my ADR's next Tuesday and I'm trying to figure out our breakfast on our last day. There will be 5 adults and 2 children. We had pretty much decided on Ohana's because we went there last year and enjoyed it. However, after reading all the great reviews about Boma's breakfast, I thought it might be fun to try something new... What do you think?? I realize that one has characters and one doesn't but we hoping to go to Chef Mickey's earlier in the week for the boys. What would you choose Boma or Ohana???

They are both very good. I would choose the one that's most convenient to where you are staying or planning to go for the day. Have fun!

I'd say hands down I'd pick Boma. You will get a MUCH bigger selection of food (and it's cheaper!). Not only that, the West African Frunch is yummy!!! It's a mixture of lemonade, pineapple juice, guava juice, OJ, and papaya juice. It will probably be much less crowded at Boma too.

We are staying at AKL on our trip in 2 weeks and we will probably be visiting boma for breakfast a few times.

'Ohana is good but isn't close to Boma, IMO. I'd do Boma, and I can prove it, cuz I've got an ADR for our June trip!

We have been to both and love both but prefer Boma...for kids I would def go to Ohana

The food is much better at Boma. There aren't any characters, but we take the kids up to see the animals afterwards.

I'd have to agree..Boma! It's the best breakfast buffet on property, IMO...the variety is endless, great for a larger group!

However, since it's your last day, a character meal is a great way to end your vacation. Our last meal of our trips are always character meals.

Having said that, Boma would still get my vote...it's really great!

Boma! The kids will love the animal viewing at the Lodge, so something for them too.

Are you doing a park your last day? We always end our trips with Magic Kingdom! If it was me, I wouldn't want to schlep all the way out to AKL and have to come all the way back. It's wasting too much of your last day on a bus!

That being said, Animal Kingdom Lodge is an amazing place and there is A LOT to do just looking around. That might be a fun way to spend your final day if you've not been before.

I personally prefer Ohana to Boma. I'm boring. I like eggs! I stayed at AKL last year and we ate Boma several times. I didn't hate it. I just wouldn't head all the way out there for breakfast on my last day.

If you want to try different foods though, Boma is the place to go. They have eggs and bacon too.

Thanks everyone!! I think we may try Boma this time. We are not doing a park on our last day, so we will be able to take our time. I think the boys will really enjoy seeing the animals afterward too.
