Which would you say is tastier?

I am not bothered about the location and understand one if buffet and one is not.

I have not done Boma for breakfast but Kona is our FAVORITE breakfast. Great service, great food (can you say Tonga Toast! :lovestruc), and wonderful pressed pot of coffee. I'd say you can't go wrong here.

Maybe someone else will have answers on Boma!

Another huge fan of breakfast at Kona -- we go every trip. GREAT coffee, wonderful menu selections, beautiful location -- can't go wrong!

I had Kona booked but switched to Boma because I really want to see the resort and animals ;).

I've been to both and I'd say that's a hard decision! Kona is great, so is Boma, I think it does really depend on whether or not you want the buffet or not. Since Boma is a buffet, I think the restaurant is a little more cafeteria style (but obviously decorated, etc... it doesn't LOOK like a cafeteria, just has that feel to it) whereas Kona is definitely more intimate. I know I might catch some flak for saying Boma is like a cafeteria - hopefully you understand what I mean!

I would have said the same exact thing, but plutosgirl beat me to it! :goodvibes

I went to Boma for dinner and hated it. Won't go back there. I can only imagine what would be out for breakfast. Euh. Not for me.

Kona, on the other hand, I can't rave about enough. TONGA TOAST!!!! Amazing coffee. Seriously, go to Kona. Please.

I have never done Boma, but Kona is our all time FAVORITE place to eat for breakfast!! If you are like me and need GOOD COFFEE--they have the best, plus the food is incredible!!

Both are great but Boma is my favorite restaurant at DW (dinner and breakfast)!!!! I love, love, love their food. So does DD6 and DH. And we are a picky bunch. I don't generally like buffet food and DH doesn't generally care for Disney restaurants (except the signatures).

I haven't eaten breakfast at Kona, but the Boma breakfast is great and I'm not a fan of Kona's theming.

Been to both; and enjoyed them, but Boma is the best for us. We like the food and atmosphere better there.

I loved the Tonga Toast at Kona but it nearly put me in a sugar coma. We finally got to Boma for breakfast on our last trip. I have to say I'd much rather go back to Boma. I don't normally like buffets but it seems to work better at breakfast. I like being able to try lots of different things. And they had some scrambled eggs that were 'to die for'. (I think they had chive and goat cheese.)

Well after reading all these posts on Boma, I am going to have to try it now!!:thumbsup2

I think after reading all these posts (and all the other great ones about BOTH places), I will just have to try BOTH of these for breakfast on our next trip! Unfortunately that won't be until July 2012. :sad2:

We loved Kona for dinner last month. One of the best things was their coffee! DH and I shared the Kona pressed pot coffee and it was to die for! Plus, the Tonga Toast looks great as well as the macadamia pineapple pancakes. However, I keep hearing great things about the Boma breakfast buffet. Do they serve good coffee there too, or is it the usual Disney stuff?

They also have a specialty coffee, I think it is called Frunch (I am not for sure) it is a pressed pot type coffee. Boma is wonderful! It is a must for breakfast each trip.
