Very different restaurants, ie; buffet vs a la carte. We love both places and agree with the previous poster about the soups. However if money is not a concern, I would choose Jiko.

We have dined at both and find the question similar to the Polynesian with 'Ohana versus Kona Cafe. In our opinion, Boma = quantity while Jiko = quality. We enjoy both.
I have eaten at both Boma and Jiko, and have had great experiences with each. In fact, we will be eating at both of them on our next trip. If I had to choose between them though, I would pick Jiko in a heartbeat. It is a fantastic dining experience!
