Boma or Cape May for dinner

Man, tough choice. My kids eat their weight in the seafood at Cape May, and look forward to it each year (plus, the "kids section" has some tasty stuff, too..).

But we all love Boma.

I guess it is what you enjoy more - seafood or not-seafood...
Concerned about the fishy smell at Cape May. We have non seafood person on the group

We have younger kids than yours and one with a serious gag reflex. Smell, sight, you name it. But they made it through Cape May no issue. They enjoyed the other options and we got our Crab Legs. The Dessert Table has a ton of options also.

I would personally vote for Boma. That said, the boys are old enough to help with the decision. Maybe pull up the menus online and let them decide. Both are good, but the before and after experience of AK Lodge would be the plus for me. You can tour the lodge and Kadani Village, see the animals, and maybe just relax in a rocker by the fire pit. If you just want to dine and dash, then Cape May would work but there really isn't much to do at the Beach Club unless you are staying there and can use Stormalong Bay.

Location, location, location.....

AKLodge is spectacular, but may not be worth the journey if using Disney transportation. Boma is very good, but not worth a hassle getting to/from resort-to-resort.

Cape May allows for a stroll along Boardwalk and/or into either Hollywood Studios or Epcot too.....which makes using Disney transportation back to your resort even easier.

If you are driving yourselves - AKLodge is spectacular and worth the trip to subsequently enjoy Boma. Start during daylight hours to enjoy the animals.
Driving ourselves...We have been to both areas before and are not doing any parks or staying on property this trip, knowing this, would you pick one versus the other? Stayed at both properties but did not eat at cape may or boma

I haven't been to Boma, so that's probably what I would pick. I'm not saying Cape May Cafe was bad, but I thought it was just average - nothing too special besides the crab legs. However, if you think you might stroll around afterwards, you might want to consider if your family would be more interested in the Boardwalk or viewing the animals at AKL.

Boma! Even my 'picky' 11 year old son requests that we eat there. And my 13 year old loves the variety. Me, I adore the pistachio encrusted salmon (it turned me into a pescatarian) with a side of coconut rice and a white wine flight.
