Boma was named one of the best breakfasts in FL, according to an article in Florida Living Magazine.

Here's what the blurb said:
"This exotic breakfast buffet isn't just for the tourists to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Chefs serve favorites like carved ham, French toast, and eggs with melted goat cheese, plus African fare - 'frunch juice' combining pineapple, guava, and papaya, and a South African corned beef quiche called bobotie, flavored with curry, raisins, and almonds. All of these delicacies are cooked in small batches constantly, so nothing sits under a heat lamp. Breathe deeply - the smell of press-pot Kenyan coffee tempers the sweetness of North African honey pastries."

YUM! We will be at Boma's breakfast buffet on Friday!! :dance3: Can't wait!

This is why I have a ressie for Breakfast for every morning of our stay at AKL, it was extrodinary my last stay there and the reason I picked AKL this time again.:thumbsup2

We had breakfast there in January and had been there once before about 5 years ago. It is a great breakfast buffet.

:dance3::dance3:
Can't wait. All the reviews have been great.

This will be the first time we try it. Haven't been to the lodge since 2004.

Okay, what should I expect to pay total for myself and DD11 at breakfast? I have been budgeting and will have to pay oop if we add this on. My time is short! I keep hearing all of these rave reviews and I don't think I can go to the World for eight days and NOT have this buffet!

This is a "must do" every trip. I just made and ADR for Nov. 4th and can't wait to have my Jungle Juice! :cloud9::love::worship:

I have to agree, ate there this past Sunday, it was awesome! The Frunch juice was great I think I had four glasses. I had the best ham and onion omelet. My DH ate two of them! Both of my kids loved it although my DS was a bit disappointed they don't have Zebra Domes at breakfast :guilty:

We will definitely be going back again!

It is roughly about $25 per Adult

Even with the great reviews, I wouldn't knock yourself out to get there - especially if it means complicated transportation, paying OOP and breaking the budget, messing up your existing plans, etc. We have only eaten there when we stayed at AKL/AKV.

I'm trying breakfast there for the first time this trip, and it's one of the meals I'm most excited about.

We really enjoyed it. They used to have a great African tea there too and I recommend it to other tea drinkers like myself.

Love Boma's. Both breakfast and dinner are must dos for us. The last time we were at AKL it was very busy (holiday season), but they got us in for dinner with no long wait without reservations. Love the customer service!

We stayed at AKL in Feb this year and did both breakfast and lunch. They were both WONDERFUL. Make sure to be hungry so you can take advantage. Lots to choose from.:goodvibes

we are only going to be at disney for two days this year...but boma will be our breakfast choice on the first night there!!!

Hi to y'all - this is my first time on any kind of forum so please bear with my lack of forum knowledge! I am so excited that I found this place - it's totally amazing. Our entire family is finally making it to Disney World - first visit this December - with our 2 toddler grandchildren and I can't explain just how excited we are! But I am overwhelmed with the number of places to eat and the Advanced Dining Reservation thing that I have finally decided to seek advice on great spots to eat and what a better place than here for expert opinions. We will be staying for 8 nights and I want to make sure I plan this trip perfectly as I am not sure when and if we will ever be able to all afford to go again. I know it is virtually impossible to see everything, do everything, eat everything...but any advice would be greatly appreciated. After reading 100's of posts, the concensus seems to be that eating breakfast later might possibly give the toddlers more "uninterrupted" time with the characters but the characters may be fresher for the early breakfasts. Opinions? Would dinner be the same way?

- A HUGE advanced "THANKS BUNCHES"! :flower3:

Also, I just want to extend a special "HI" to Planogirl...Noticed you are in Frisco....we are in Plano! It's definitely a "small world after all"! :)

mimi - I recommend starting your own new thread with your question - you will get more attention that way - in this post which is about a particular restaurant, it will just get buried.
