Boma - More than once on a single trip?

Does anyone know if the Boma dinner menu rotates? Do they have different offerings on the buffet on different nights? We love Boma, but don't get to Disney very often. We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge for part of our trip. If Boma does rotate buffet items, we may hit Boma twice on our next trip.

The menu does supposedly rotate daily. I could definitely eat there twice in one trip even if the offerings were the same both nights.

I know the soups rotate because the one I really like wasn't on the menu last trip. When I asked they said it would be offered next night. I don't think the main items rotate. Our last trip to Boma was a bit disappointing - hair in one of the soups (that grosses me out) and some of the other items were super salty. Anyway, we'll give it another shot but I doubt we'd go twice in a trip.

If you like Boma, I'd say go for it. Our biggest problem with Boma is overeating because there is so much to choose from. Going twice might alleviate that problem. Plus if you are at AKL it is convenient.

A Boma cast member told me there are two sets of dessert items which alternate every other night (in answer to why some of my favorite desserts were missing).

But if I were going to do Boma twice in one trip, I'd probably do a dinner and a breakfast.

I have done breakfast and dinner on the same trip, but not two dinners. We love Boma and I do believe that they rotate different soups and possibly even carved meats, but there are so so many other restaurants in WDW that I personally would have a hard time not trying other places. But if YOU love it that much then go for it, and have a wonderful trip.

Jody has it been a long time since you've eaten at Boma? It has been a long time favorite of our family, but the quality isn't what it once was. It probably took a turn during the financial crisis of 2008 when WDW began to cut corners on food quality. It's still good, I just wanted to throw that out there.

Something that took us by surprise just a few years ago was Tusker House at AK. If we had dined there previously we couldn't remember, so we gave it a try. We thought it was at least a bit better than Boma. As long time Boma fans we couldn't believe it, and I understand you may not be believe me, it is down to personal taste. We've been back to TH several times, each time it was for lunch. The food isn't the same as Boma, but it's nicely prepared and has some unique flavor profiles. The food stations are spread out so it's easier to make several trips for various items, and even though it's a character buffet, it is somehow not quite as chaotic as Boma. If you find yourself in AK looking for something to eat, please consider it. :earsboy:

Im glad to see such a positive review of TH relating to Boma. We aren't going to have time for Boma next trip, so we're trying late breakfast/early lunch at TH instead.

Super! Please let us know what you think. We've done Boma and TH a few times subsequent to that first visit and still give the edge to Tusker House. Boma doesn't suck by any means, it's just that TH far exceeded expectations. :)
