Boma-liked it? Loved it?

My family thinks it is the best place to eat. That is our must eat at place!
LOVE IT!!!!1:banana:

The food was great! However, with your husband having tummy problems just be very careful. We went for dinner and my friend ended up spending the rest of the evening in the hotel room with tummy problems from the spices. She and I both have stomach problems, but I don't think I ate as much of the spicier food as she did.

I much preferred the breakfast at Boma than the dinner.

My boyfriend and I hated it, but my mom and dad LOVE it and usually go twice in one vacation. Im not a very adventurous eater (at least not when Im trying not to get a tummy ache on vacation!) and I found it hard to find things to eat. But it is a beautiful restaurant and always very crowded so I would def give it a try- especially if you are on the disney dining plan b/c its a great value.

DD21 and I love it. DH..not so much. We have been to every rotation and have found each one to be really good. I especially like the ribs and the african flank steak. There is prime rib every night which most picky eaters will like.

We enjoyed it. DH didn't care for the more 'exotic' dishes, but he's not very adventerous when it comes to food. I, on the other hand, loved the bobtie (or however it's spelled) Unique combination - very tasty.

Like every other buffet, there are always 'safe' foods to choose from. One does not have to get things that don't sound/look good to them. Personally, I'd try a small taste of new things and go from there. See if it's a spice/seasoning that does well for you and then get more if it's fine. ;)

Normally we stay away from buffets, but Boma is an exception for us. We LOVE the food and variety and return every trip to DW.

I thought it was just okay. Much of the "hot" food was just barely warm, and my picky-eater DW wasn't a fan of the food choices. Our waitress wasn't very attentive, and I didn't particularly enjoy the atmosphere. I doubt we'll ever return; there are plenty of better options for us.

I wasn't crazy about it, but 2 of the people I went there with were. It's all a matter of taste.
BTW--the buffet line was not big at all--in fact, we could go up whenever we wanted and there was no line.

We've only been there once, but we enjoyed it enough that we'll be going back on 10/9/08. My SIL will be there, she's the one from our group I'm worried about... she's not an adventurous eater at all. I'll make sure to show her where the chicken fingers are on the buffet. :lmao:

One hint... take a pepsid or similar product BEFORE the meal. This seems to help me when I get "adventurous".

Wow, we only have 39 days left until we get to WDW!

I don't like spicy food and don't eat red meat (only chicken, turkey and fish) and I found more than enough food to enjoy as did my kids who were 4 and 2 at the time.

I am a very picky eater and I loved it. I think there is plenty for everyone.:thumbsup2

To us, Boma's OK. Nothing phenomenal. The service we had was so-so (check took forever; refills were difficult to obtain). The food was hit-or-miss.

We'll go back again some day, but not any time soon. We actually preferred the new Tusker House buffet.

I am a picky eater and it is a must do for me everytime. So I will say LOVE IT.

We thought it was excellent quality food and really liked it there. My only criticism would be that it wasn't 'adventurous' enough but I guess in a large resort hotel they have to cater for all tastes.

I love it. I go straight for the peanut rice and the beef with the different dipping sauces.
Love it.

We aren't buffet people but we tried it once. It was just okay for us. Some of the items others rave about (zebra domes, etc.) just didn't knock our socks off.

Also, a PP had a similar experience to ours, you do all the work getting your own food, the servers were almost non-existent with refills and then you are suppose to tip them.

However, we really loved Jiko's and ate there more than once on the same trip.
