My DH and DMIL are notoriously picky eaters. They have never met a chicken finger that they didn't like, but show them a vegetable and they run away screaming! :lmao: OK, maybe they aren't quite that bad, but they are pretty picky and don't like to try new things. I'm worried that there won't be anything that they will enjoy at Boma. I have reservations for our upcoming trip and now I'm worrying that Boma might be a bad choice, but I really want to try it (it sounds really cool to me!). Will the picky eaters find something to eat there? Or is everything on the menu "exotic"?

Don't worry about it. I've taken many a picky eater there (including myself) and everyone has to be rolled out. It is mostly "exotic" foods but there's plenty of other things. There is a section of "comfort" foods that your husband and mother-in-law will enjoy (and I believe they call it comfort foods and not the children's buffet). My husband likes the steak. That's a bit too spicy for me but it's not that bad. I love the chicken. For the salads, on my first trip to Boma, the server recommended combining two dressings so the taste wouldn't be overpowering. I did that and it was great. I told my son about it after he had his first plate and he said he LOVED the second one (and he didn't like salads at the time). My husband is a complete carnivore but he really likes Boma. We went once with a vegetarian friend and she introduced him to things that weren't "too veggy" (her words). He liked those too.

And the desserts don't have vegetables in them! :)
