Boma for breakfast...time??

I am spending 2 nights at AKL Jambo solo following our family vacation. Right now I have breakfast scheduled for Sunday morning. I am thinking of switching it to Monday instead. Monday is my checkout day. My flight is at 2:30, so I'm assuming magical express will pick up between 11 - 11:30. If I switch my ADR to Monday, how much time should I allow to be seated, enjoy a leisurely meal, and still have time to collect my stuff from bell services in time to be there for my bus?

I don't want to be too early since I do need to make sure I'm all packed and may have to go check a suitcase (haven't decided yet if I'm just doing carry on).

If I leave it for sunday what over breakfast options are there?

9:30 would give you plenty of time if there is a wait to be seated. One thing I try to do at a buffet if I'm in a hurry is ask for the check early. The CMs have a number of tables to take care of and catching their attention can be difficult sometimes.

I would try for Boma on Monday especially if you're looking for a relaxing last morning. Other options will be a bus ride or two away and will likely make the morning less hectic.

That is a good idea getting the check early. I always felt like if I had they gave me the check it was a subtle hint to finish up and get out of there. But lately Ive been doing solo meals (around Dr's appts and such) and notice that I''m usually given the check fairly early, with a "take your time" or "when you're ready". I will probably wind up moving my ADR to Monday - that will free up more time to do things on Sunday.

I say make the ADR for 9:00. This way you can take your time and enjoy breakfast.

With a 9 or 9:30 ressie. I don't think you would even have to check your bags with bell services. Check out is 11am. I think you would have plenty of time for breakfast and go back to your room and collect your stuff. Have fun. We loved AKL!!

I don't think I want to plan on going back to the room. I'll have a scooter to turn back in, which I would probably do before breakfast, and not knowing how early the bus is coming I wouldn't want to take the chance I'd be late getting back to it. I guess I could play that part by ear. I'd get the bus time the day before so I would know if I need to check my things with them or not.

Boma is my fave breakfast! I can't wait to go back. Such great flavors and not bland like most buffets. Yumm... . On our last morning in December, we did a late relaxing Boma breakfast (no crowds and still lots of food), partook in the rocking chairs to settle our meal , strolled around the resort and store, and checked out the animals from several sites.
