We've never been to Boma, but I see a lot of praise for it on here. Is it recommended for Breakfast or Dinner? We will be going to O'hana the next day for dinner, not sure if that should impact our decision. TIA

Boma is one of our favorites and is a must do for us every trip. With that said, we have only been for dinner, but I have read nothing but great things about breakfast. You probably can't go wrong with either one, depending on which meal works best with your schedule.

You'll find that Boma is very popular for either breakfast or dinner here on the Dis. We've had both meals and prefer breakfast. There are the typical breakfast foods and additional offerings with African overtones that we enjoyed. And Frunch juice!

At dinner many of the spices used tended to be sweet rather than savoury which we didn't care for in the entrees. However, dinner did include Zebra Domes, but fortunately they are also available at Mara. :)

Boma and 'Ohana have totally different flavor profiles so there's no overlap between the 2. Boma is African influenced while 'Ohana is Polynesian/Asian with grilled meat, chicken and shrimp on skewers. Also Boma is a buffet and 'Ohana is family style (food is brought to your table.) The main similarity is both are all you care to eat.

BOTH! I'm going next month and originally I only booked Boma for dinner. When my DM found out we weren't doing breakfast, well, let's just say I had to re-work my itinerary to fit it in. I really can't choose one over the other. They're both great! Boma and 'Ohana are completely different. I don't see why you couldn't do both... unless, of course, money is an issue. Been there. Done that. Disney is no fun on a severe food budget. I've got 'Ohana planned as well. Good luck trying to figure it out!!

We really enjoy Boma for dinner. We've never experienced it for breakfast (want to try it though), but it gets very positive reviews for breakfast (and dinner too). I would look at the menus and see which appeals to you more and see what fits your schedule best (which is why we ended up with dinner last time). Boma and 'Ohana are very different, so I wouldn't let that impact your opinion on doing breakfast or dinner.

Boma breakfast buffet is probably the best breakfast we've had in all our trips to Disney. Loved the food, much variety. A chance to experiment or eat regular breakfast food. Excellent juices, nice atmosphere. We used this as our "sleep in" day with teens, had a 10am ADR. Took a cab from CSR to AKL, had never seen AKL so after breakfast we wandered the grounds to see the animals and the resort, we visited the gift shop then took the bus to Epcot around 12:30. We did not try to do any big headliner rides, we did Ellen's, Spaceship Earth, Figment, Innoventions and some WS, it was great.
