Boma Dinner or Breakfastosaurus Breakfast?

Should we do Donald's Breakfastasauraus (or however it's spelled) or Boma. We are on the dining plan and we currently have both booked and we need to get rid of one (Boma at 7:00 P.M and Donald's Breakfastasaurus at 8:10 A.M.) We are spending the day at Animal kingdom and there will be 4 adults and 8 kids (14,13,13,11,9,9,6,6). We know we will get the better deal at Boma but we are thinking the little kids will like it better at Donald's Breakfastosaurus. I know a lot of people will say Boma but please consider the ages of the kids. Would the littler kids like Boma? Any opionions would be greatly appreciated

Our 9 year-old daughter loved Boma. When I asked her tonight where she wanted to eat on our next trip the first thing she said was BOMA! We haven't done the Breakfasaurus, but we'll go back for dinner at Boma again. The food was fantastic, but just visiting AKL was worth the trip!

Judging by the ages going I would ask......do they like dinosaurs?? do they like characters?? If you answer yes to either question then I would say Breakfastoraus for sure. Great character interaction, not very crowded (at least it wasn't for us in May), food was very good and the atmosphere was pretty cool with dino stuff on the walls and in cases.

Boma Dinner - by far!

Boma. My then 3-year-old LOVED it as much as I did (for both breakfast and dinner). Neither of us were thrilled with Donald's Breakfastosaurus, the food isn't that great, the atmosphere is so-so. If you are doing other character meals, I'd skip Donald's, but if it's your only character dining experience and your kiddos love characters then stick with it.

If you go to Boma, you can take the kids out to see the savannah before and/or after your meal. There is a playground out by the pool as well.

Another vote for Boma. The breakfastassauras is fun but when you have narrowed it down to these two choices the experience you will have at Boma will be far more enjoyable.

I have never been to Donald's. But I always envision a Chuckie Cheese style environment. Seems kids love it though. What parents endure for those who they love.

We've been to both and prefer Boma. Boma for dinner and Boma for breakfast. It is now our restaurant of choice on AK days.

If you do decide on Donald's Breakfastsaurus, go well before park opening. We made the mistake of doing an ADR 10 minutes before the official opening and got stuck with the crowds. We got to our ADR 10 minutes late and ended up waiting a half hour more to be seated. Quite a few families were checking in 15 to 30 minutes earlier than their ADR time and they were taking them, so we were all stuck waiting a while. It took over an hour for all the characters to come around to our table. There is no way the food is worth the money but it is a lot of fun and we are glad to have experienced it. By the time we got out of the restaurant, the crowds were in full swing. We wouldn't do it again unless we either had a very late ADR after riding/attending our must-do list or one of the first ADR's.

I was wondering the same about Boma but was wondering whether to book breakfast or dinner. Now I think dinner is our option (well as soon as our dates are finalized).

Breakfast and dinner are both really nice but i prefer Breakfast however my mum prefers dinner so i think it depends what you are in to. The breakfast selection does not seem as adventurous as the dinner selection. My favorite are the omelets, there great, just choose from loads of fillings and then a chef will make it fresh for you. Nothing like a good breakfast to start the day.

Iwould pick Boma. We have eaten there twice and enjoyed it both times.

If it is your only scheduled character meal, I would do Donald's. Otherwise, Boma, all the way. My kids love Boma and so do us adults.

Boma, and they have a good bit of Kid Friendly foods if yours do not like what else is offered. We've always found Donald's a bit hectic and really like Bomas. Also after dinner walk down to the animal area for night vision with the CM's, its really cool.

Absolutely BOMA. We've done both, and quite honestly, Donald's stunk!

BOMA appeals to all of us, even our kids! The food is really good and the atmosphere is nice!
