I just made a ps for Mother's Day Breakfast at Boma's! I am a little excited and a little nervous! Boma's has always been a no-go for us due to food allergies and their "odd" foods. They are giving me a call back today, but I would love feedback on the breakfast at Boma's...is it worth the trip over??? I am going to keep trying for the one at Epcot but as of now it's full! And Chef Mickey's has nothing before 11:40am!!!

I loved it there!

I cannot speak to the food allergies problem, but it had a wonderful variety and everything was delicious!

Lots and lots of yummy foods at their breakfast, ranging from typical stuff like pastries, fruits, and eggs, to great casseroles, oatmeal-type stuff, and breakfast pizzas. If you're worried about the allergies I suggest calling ahead of time to speak to a chef there. Disney is using very good about accomodating visitors with allergies.

We ate breakfast there in Feb. The menu is here in case you didn't know:
http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_boma.htm It is mostly typical American breakfast foods, and then a few African dishes if you want to be adventurous. There is certainly something there for EVERYONE.

We have a son who is allergic to peanuts, and can't have any nuts. So the Boma chef came out and spoke with us. He was WONDERFUL!!! I mean he was extremely friendly and helpful! And he spent quite a bit of time with us, more than we needed really (we were ready to start eating! LOL) He walked us through the entire buffet and told us specifically which foods would be ok or not for our son. I figured since we had his attention, I'd ask him about the dinner buffet, and more specifically, how excited I was to try a Zebra Dome and if those were safe for him. So he spent time telling us about those things too. After he was done, I went up to the buffet to get my kids plates. When I came back to the table, he was there again and had just set down a box of 5 Zebra Domes for us!!! I was so surprised, I thought that was SO thoughtful of him. He had brought them from the back just for us (they don't serve Zebra Domes at the breakfast...) and didn't charge us for them either. :) (And by the way Zebra Domes are SOOOOOOO yummy!) He and the Zebra Domes were the highlight of the breakfast! Otherwise, we thought it was just "ok".

liznboys...thanks for sharing that! What a wonderful story! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy...Disney Magic at it's best!

I LOVE the Boma breakfast...but I am an adventurous eater. It is true, though...that there are regular "normal" breakfast items there!

Enjoy!

Thanks everyone! The menu looks like we can at least find something to eat there! As long as they don't stretch their eggs with pancake batter (Ihop and other chains do)!!! I feel much better about this ps now!

Boma breakfast is excellent, my DH is very keen on it! Yes there are a few more exotic things to try but there are plenty of the normal breakfast favorites too. The advice on calling ahead about your allergy worries is really a very good idea. You wouldn't want a flare up to spoil your magic!!! Plus if you go in with some help and reassurance, you aren't going to spend the meal worrying about taking a wrong bite.

GO GO GO! I am not an adventurous eater and i LOVE Boma breakfast! You will PLENTY of normal food to eat. I wish we could go there every day for breakfast! You will not be disappiotned!

I love the Boma breakfast. They have the 'regular' foods as well as some interesting alternatives.

Try the frunch fruit juice, it is a combination of various juices and it's yummy. Also available is some very good coffee but you have to ask for it instead of the regular stuff - Kenyan pressed pot.

Oooo...yeah...that pressed pot is worth the xtra $$$!!!

Kandee--Really? Some chains stretch the eggs with pancake batter? I don't doubt it, but I have never detected that when tasting the eggs. I would think you would be able to taste that.

Yep! I am allergic to all whole grains so when e-mailing chains about things I could eat they informed me that they added pancake batter to their omelettes and eggs in order to stretch them and help the maintain their fluffiness so they basicially informed me that unless it was a salad it probably wasn't safe for me! I was shocked too!

Just another vote for Boma breakfast. My DH has a serious nut/peanut allergy and he can eat at the Boma with no worries. He appreciates the fact that the buffet is well marked and the chefs will serve him from dishes before they reach the serving line and the fact that they are so concerned about cross contamination. They have always taken his concerns to heart. On our upcoming trip we have 4 PS at the Boma.

OMG! they would probably NEVER confess that...but since you have an allergy they HAD to! LOL! what a bust! Thanks for sharing that tidbit of info!

Any othe restaurant names you can share? Does Denny's or Perkin's do it? Just think about all the people on low carb diets that think they are on program and eat scrambled eggs! yikes!
