Hiya! I booked BOMA for our last morning before we shove off...I looked at the menu some things sound odd...anyone have an opinion?
I was hoping to eat a nice breakfast and then the sad drive south (most people head north-its kinda funny)
I thought we would eat and then go back to the room, pack and enjoy our CL savannah view one last time, but if I hear its terrible, I might consider Cape May or something else....

My family had breakfast at Boma's last december. We really liked it. There were some very typical breakfast items - like pancakes and waffles, fruit, scrambled eggs, etc. Additionally, there were a few African themed items - like bobotie, pap, and quinoa porridge. If you do not want to eat any of the African themed items, they were pretty easy to avoid.

This is the quinoa porridge:

Boma is an American breakfast buffet with some African overtones. You could easily have a full meal on the standard American items and never go near the unfamiliar selections. However, it was fun trying some of the things we had never seen before. The chefs and servers are more than happy to explain anything you aren't familiar with. Definitely try the Frunch instead of orange juice at the start of your meal. Yum! We tried Boma last time and will have breakfast there again on our next trip. :thumbsup2

Boma is, by far, our favorite restaurant in Disney, esp. breakfast. We stayed there years ago. Since then, we have stayed at other resorts and still return there for breakfast once a trip. I assure you that you will LOVE the food. There is plenty to pick from. My favorite is the custom made omlets. Oh yea - make sure you drink the juice.

we love Boma so much we are going to stay at akl just to eat breakfast there every day (and to give this trip more flexibility than last year).

There is a carving area - it was ham when we went, a normal cooked breakfast area although the sausage is quite spicy and the scrambled eggs have goat's cheese and chive. A cereal, pancake and waffle station. You can have an omelette made to order. Great fresh fruit.

My son would go for the breakfast juice alone (same as Ohana's if you have been there before) and while all the pastries and muffins are delicious the sticky toffee buns (with pecans at the base) are out of this world. :goodvibes:
