BOMA breakfast question

So I had this weird thought while (over) planning my vacation. My DD loves breakfast. We are staying at a value resort. The day that we are going to AK I thought we could shuttle over to AK then take another shuttle to AK lodge for breakfast. The reviews look good. Do you think this is a good idea? I can't get into Crystal Palace. So, I am trying to find another good breakfast place for her. I know there won't be characters. But we have other character meals.

Finally, can you see animals from BOMA during breakfast? Give me any feedback and thoughts. I really just thought of this and dont know ....

We love Boma breakfast! It is more expensive than other breakfasts but they really do a nice job. Make sure you get a carafe of their signature juice. You cannot see the animals from the restaurant but you can walk around the resort (which is beautiful itself) and see animals. They also have various CMs ready to tell you about the various animals you will see at the resort.

Another option is Tusker House in the AK. It has similar food to Boma plus characters.

We can eat at Boma breakfast for $100, depending on TiW card or the season paying out is pocket. We do not get the dining plan anymore. There are no characters and it is really nice. We love the breakfast choices here. We are a family of 2 adults plus 2 Disney Adults. It is correct you can't see the animals from the table but you can't do that at Tusker House either. AKL is a beautiful resort so if you are interested in visiting to check it out, I highly recommend it.

If you are on the dining plan I do suggest trying for Tusker House at AK over Boma breakfast because Tusker House is more expensive and it has characters and would be worth your dining credits and it would be more convenient because you are going to AK for the day. Both are delicious for breakfast. You can't go wrong with either one.

We really enjoy the breakfast at Boma. It is a fantastic option if you are staying at AKL. However, IMO, it is by no means worth the trouble to get to in the morning using Disney transportation if you are not staying there. You really have to be out at the bus stop no less than 90 minutes before your ADR time, so if you got an 8:00 ADR, you'd still have to be at the bus by 6:30ish, which means you are waking up at 5:30ish. Nothing, food wise, really sets it apart from any other breakfast buffet on property to make it worth that extra time. Anything later than an 8:00 ADR would start to dig into your AK park time. If you are willing to take a taxi, that is a different story.

Now, if you wanted to head over to AKL to see the resort, which is worth visiting, I would recommend Boma for dinner on your AK day instead.

We love Boma for breakfast. It has become a must eat place for us each trip. There is a nice selection of "normal" breakfast items and then some additional with an African flare. As other posters have said you can view the animals from other areas of the resort. The resort itself is stunning and worth the time to do a little walk around.
