If you had to choose one but not both, would you go to Boma for breakfast or dinner? We have been there before for breakfast and loved it, but never for dinner.

I'd chose dinner. The food is so interesting and delicious! The first time I had the breakfast I wasn't impressed at all. Based on all of the positive feedback from these boards, I gave it a second try. It wasn't outstanding, but it was WAY better than the first time I'd been. However, I still think dinner wins hands down.

Enjoy your trip!

Erin :D

We just got back and did both breakfast and dinner at Boma and both were great. However, if you can do only one, I would agree with mrsltg and try the dinner. The foods are more varied and more interesting. And most of us can eat more at dinner. Enjoy!

...dinner is absolutely a "must-do" at Boma! Be warned tho': this is one restaurant that you will either LOVE it or HATE it! Last year, there was a similar thread on this very same topic. I had made PS's for the 1st night we'd be staying at WDW. Well, I started to get worried after reading some of the negative comments. I didn't change our ressies, though, and was SO GLAD THAT I DIDN'T!!

We had reservations for Boma on our last trip in December, and Disney trips being as hectic as they can be, we didn't get to go! I was so disappointed I can't begin to tell you. So next time for sure! Seems like the dinner menu is varied enough that there would be something for everyone-----opinions?:D

DINNER DINNER DINNER!!
I went there, and there was at least 4 things for every personl. You must try the 3 bean and sausuge gumbo!! AMAZING! take a bread shell and dip it! YUM!!! THey have vegitarian dishes as well! 100% eat there, no matter what comes your way. Walking around the lodge and seeing the animals was nice at night too!!
Have fun!!!
Tink:p

..the menu IS varied, AND it varies from day-to-day, too!! The salads are great; the soups are wonderful, too, especially the carrot ginger soup!

Oh it all sounds great! I am definitely going to make reservations and KEEP THEM this time! It's really tough because we always want to try some place new, but all the "old" places are so great too! We loved Ohana, Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Fair, to name a few, and you just can't eat those meals every night of the week. Or can you????????????

...funny you should mention those places, cuz' we've NEVER been to 1900 Park Faire OR O'Hana, and this trip I DEFINITELY want to get to BOTH...(already have ressies for O'Hana!) We loved Boma soooo much, we made 2nd ressies and went back again 4 nites later!! You also MUST try (if you haven't already) Le Cellier....;)

I would do dinner. I've had both breakfast and dinner at Boma. Both were excellent, but I preferred dinner.:)

Is it the usual food at the breakfast buffet? We are going to AK for the day pre-disney cruise in december and are looking for a big filling breakfast. We really wanted to see AKL, so we were thinking of going to Boma for breakfast. Afterwards we thought we could then take a look at AKL.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Will have our own car and AP for a 10 day Disney trip. Want to make reservations for Boma Dinner.... is it wise to come by Disney transportation or can you just drive into a parking lot. What time would you recommend for dinner in December? Also have a question regarding first time making reservations...what happens or what to do if you have to cancel or find you can't make the reservation time? Are you charged? Thanks...can't wait to experience this place.

Kimmar, you are gonna love Ohana!

We are not big on the "audience participation", but they really did not bother you if you didn't want to be part of the festivities. In fact, they didn't really even phase us, we were so entranced by the wonderful food. I swear to you, those jumbo shrimp marinated in garlic were as big as my hand! And if you ask for just one more when one of your servers comes by, you get 2, ask for 2 you get 4, you get the picture! It was a great meal, and the pina coladas in the monkey glasses..........well you just have to indulge! I know you will enjoy it and I want to hear about it when you come back!

I'VE HAD BREAKFAST AND DINNER AT BOMA. BOTH ARE WONDERFUL! I KNOW THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE SAID THEY LIKE DINNER BEST, BUT I DON'T THINK YOU WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED AT BREAKFAST. THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL BUFFET!

...those shrimp so soooo yummy! I've also heard that the fresh pineapple with caramel is awesome!!

You must try both Breakfast and Dinner...if you not happy come see chef TJ at Dinner time.........new menu is on start july 27...they still have 3 menu rotation. All is awesome FOOD..........
