I am thinking of eating at Boma after a day at AK. We are staying at CSR and have 3 children ages 7, 5, and 2. I thought the easiest and quickest way to get back to our hotel would be a taxi but we won't have car seats. How does that work and does anyone have an alternative solution? Thanks for the help.

I know that Taxi's will not have car seats with them, so your only alternative, would be either taking your rental car (if you have one), or riding the bus, possibly to Blizzard Beach or AK and connecting with the CSR bus...

Thanks for the info. I didn't think that the cabs would have car seats. We are not renting a car mostly because of the hassle of car seats. It was very easy last year to just jump on the buses without worrying about strapping anyone in. It sounds like it may turn into a 1 hour commute to get back to the hotel that is only about 2 miles away. It may not be worth the trouble.

Why not try the breakfast or a late lunch at Boma? You could bus to AK and then hop a bus to AKL. For return go to AK and then take a bus home to CSR. I know it is not dinner but it may be nice as well. I hear the food at Boma is great! Good Luck!

Breakfast at Bomas is excellent. If your willing to try some new things, you will enjoy the food alot. If not, they still have eggs and bacon :goodvibes

I looked at our schedule and I think that instead of going to Boma after AK at closing we may go on a pool day and eat lunch instead. I want to spend some time at the resort as we wanted to stay there this year but it just wasn't in the cards. I want the kids to see the animals and enjoy the resort. Thanks for all the advice everyone. I hadn't thought of eating a meal other than dinner but I think we can make it work.

One possibility - from AK Lodge, take the bus to Epcot, and from there catch the CSR bus.

1 - Epcot is open until 9, so the buses will allow incoming guests at least until 8:45 or so. Even after 9, any buses returning to Epcot should allow you to return, since guests may have cars in the lot, or situations such as yours.

2 - It will be worth the extra effort to visit Boma. Not only is the resort a thing of beauty, but the food at Boma is fabulous. (Disclaimer - there *are* those who aren't fans, but a whole lot of us *are*.)

I don't see why a bus without seatbelts would be any safer than a taxi without seatbelts.

I hear what you are saying but I don't think it is even allowed by law.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of looking for an extra magic night so the buses would run longer but the Epcot trick may be better for us.
