Boma ADR timing

We have a 6:30pm ADR for Boma on our Animal Kingdom day. What time should we plan to leave AK to
get to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for our reservation?
Also, what would be the best way back to our POR resort after the meal? The Magic Kingdom is open to midnight that day. I was thinking of busing from AKL to MK, and then catching the one to POR from there.

2. You can do that. Or you can save yourself 45 minutes or so and take a cab.

I generally aim to leave the park about an hour to 45 minutes before my ADR is schedule. AK to AKL is a very short bus ride (5 to 10 minutes), but this allows for time in case you just miss the bus and have to wait for the next one. On the upside, if you're early, there is plenty to see and do at AKL while you wait for your ADR time.

The fastest option would be to take a taxi from AKL directly to POR (estimate about $25 plus tip - probably less but better to estimate high). In terms of the Disney Transportation options, you could also look into heading from AKL to DTD and then from DTD to POR. Depending on the time, there is a boat that goes from DTD to POR. My family opted to try this route on our last trip (first time staying at POR) and thought it was a fun way to get back. It's not necessarily the most time efficient, but it was relaxing and different. Otherwise, yes, AKL to MK to POR is an option (allow up to 1.5 hours for this - 45 minutes per leg of the trip).

I'd leave a lil earlier than what others have said...The only reason is once you're there, you don't want to just sit for a few mins. then go eat....I'd get there around 5 and just take in the beauty of the resort..There's so much to do and see here..

Once you're done I'd also take the bus to DTD, and then catch the boat back to your resort...
