Boma: 1, Picky eater: 0

So just a quick post to prove just ho wonderful Boma is (as if we didn't already know ) My cousin asked me for some restaurant recommendations before leaving for Florida yesterday. I gave her a few, however kept them pretty generic (specifically places with burgers and steak) as her husband is an extremely picky eater. Well she asked what our favourite place was and I told her Boma, but I mentioned that it's an African buffet so I wasn't sure how it would go over with her DH...

Well ladies and gents the verdict is in, I asked in a facebook comment how they liked it and this was HIS response "It [Boma] was amazing, probably the best soup I've ever had(chicken corn chowder)"

So there you have it folks Boma: 1, picky eater: 0. Wonderful Disney food has won over yet another unsuspecting individual

I may be a bit biased as a former Animal Kingdom Lodge cast member, but Boma is the BEST! They've got a bit of something for everyone! Or, if you're like me, a bit of everything!

Glad it was a hit. We avoided Boma for a long time due to the unique dishes, but when we finally gave it a try we loved it and it's now a must do for us every trip. Our oldest DS isn't too adventurous of an eater and is somewhat picky and Boma is one of his favorites.

We loved it too. The first time we ate at Boma and had the coconut chicken curry soup, our eyes got wide and we all swore we'd try to make it at home. The watermelon rind salad was incredible and just having so many choices and flavor...oh my!

But...two springs ago, we went back and ate at Boma for our anniversary dinner. My husband and I both were shocked at how many dishes were gone. Not gone, as in...no longer offered...but gone as in the dish was empty and not being refilled. Many of our favorites only had scrapes and bits left. This lasted the entire dinner and we tried to stay long enough for refills. It never happened.

We were really disappointed and unimpressed enough to not go back.

The carrot soup is my favorite! Velvety and rich! We love both dinner and breakfast!!!

DW and I love Boma, but on a family reunion trip with 21 persons which included some very picky eaters, Boma was a hit with pretty much everyone.

My sister tried for years to get me to try and I am the picky eater so I was a bit afraid. We finally tried on the last trip and loved it!!
