Bogus AmEx charges from Character Corner Update: Charges are legit

Not sure where to post this but just wanted to alert y'all. If you have purchased anything from the Chartacter Corner Store, you should check your July/August statement.

Several people I know including myself have received charges for merchandise purchased in July that I didn't make. Initial response is that this was a glitch caused by the Hurricanes and is under investigation by AmEx.


Update:

Heard back from AmEx and Character Corner. I recived receipt for charges that was over a year old, but, due to an error by the processing company used by Character Corner, had never been turned in to AmEx for billing until now. I checked past statements and charge had never showed. Character Corner apologized for the error and inconvenience. I have a number to Character Corner if you want to check your charges. Add us to the list.. I already called Amex and had them put in a dispute~. I just thought it was an honest mistake... now I know better! We just shopped there last week.. we did use cash this time.... Glad I did!

Thanks for the update. I guess I'll go back and check to see if they are duplicates. Amex did tell me that retailers had a year to submit the charges. Thanks again!
