I think I dropped the ball. Went in to make fastpass requests and silly me thought of making ressies for BOG at the same time, at 60 days out. It's my daughter's 25th birthday and we are doing the MVMCP on the day. Belle is her favorite and I've been gathering all original decorations for the villa, a dress for her to wear etc. It would be nice to eat there before the party and wonder if walk-ups ever get a table (there are 4 of us). If not, can you walk around to see inside and most important...will she be able to order take out gray stuff if no table is available? Is it sold anywhere else? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I believe the answer is no to all your questions.

But, don't give up! People cancel all the time.....especially a day or two before. There are also services like Disney dining buddy that you can sign up for, that will notify you if a reservation is available for the date you want.

Good luck! :goodvibes

Noticed that reservations don't go past 6:00 for my date. Does BOG close early due to MVMCP?

It looks like dinner is only 4 - 6 on party nights. Any other restaurants in MK you have to make a reservation before 7 unless you have tickets to the party.

There is also a November cancelation thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/ne...lled-adr-thread-read-1st-post.3409711/page-50

I'd suggest you sign up for alerts each time there is a post. You can coordinate with someone who is canceling if the days and times work out for you.

We just did a walk up for lunch the last week of August. I checked the MDE app while we were in MK and noticed that had a time for 1 person available around 1 pm (we were a party of 2). We walked up, asked if they could take 2 people and in we went.

I wouldn't give up hope. You can try a watch service, like Disney Dining Buddy, but if you are willing to do breakfast or lunch, you could also look for two or three reservations and break your party up. You could even look for four reservations for 1 person and look for times that are close to each other. Breakfast and lunch are quick service, so you really just need to get your group through the door at times that are close to each other. Once you are inside and have ordered, you can all sit together wherever you find an open table.

Unfortunately, they won't just let you wander around the restaurant if you aren't eating and you can't get grey stuff to go.

We are a party of 2 and I was able to get a reservation for one in the party at one time and another 15 min later but it won't let me reserve the 2 person. It say there's already a reservation. What if we'd wanted to eat at different places? The system is only allowing 1 reservation during the time period.

If the second person wants the reservation, then they need to book it themselves. Too many people booked multiple reservations and never showed up, so this restriction is in place now.

So my DD17 has to now have her own MDE account in order for us to book 2 different reservations? This seems ridiculous.

Two separate reservations for different people at the same time? Yes, she needs her own account for that.

I just snagged a BOG breakfast last week for our trip next week. Watch the cancellation thread and just keep checking the dining website. You'll find it if you're persistent.

People were booking reservations at 2 or more parks because they didn't know where they were planning to be and then not canceling the extra reservations. Disney imposed the one reservation within the same time frame in an attempt to deter this. Unfortunately people still didn't cancel so Disney added the credit card no show penalty, but didn't remove the one res per time frame limitation.

It does make it more time consuming for you and anyone else who has to make reservations for a family that plans to split up. You can either make a separate account for your daughter or I think you can still make the reservations over the phone.
