BOG to Airport timing

I can get a BOG dinner reservation only on our departing day. The reservation will be at 4 and our flight is out of MCO at 7:15. I think this is cutting it too close, but my wife thinks we might be ok if we have no luggage we need to grab (will take care of it through hotel in the morning), only have our personal items which we will take to the parks, and uber directly from the park when finished. I have heard BOG is a 1.5-2 hour process, but did not know for sure. Thoughts?

I never knew of the touringplans reservation finder and notification tool! What a great find! Thanks for the backup.

Too much of a rush. I would want to be in the Uber at the Contemporary by 5:30 (and we have TSA Pre). So I would want to leave the park by 5:10, so be finished at BOG by about 4:55, which is not really enough time. And even if you did manage it, you would be too rushed to really enjoy it. Set up a dining text alert using one of the online reservation tools to try to get BOG on a different day.

I would not chance it. DME pick up is 3 hours prior to flight times for a reason - too many things can be delayed or go awry.

In the best case scenario - lets say you check in a little early, are seated on time and then rush through dinner, finishing around 5pm. By the time you walk all the way to the front of the park, exit, walk to CR, wait on the Uber - its 5:15-5:30. Its then a 30 minute commute to the airport - 5:45, 6pm maybe. If this is a weekday, it can easily be longer than that because of construction and rush hour. Being that its an evening flight, I would expect security to be particularly busy, especially if its a weekend. Airline boarding will generally begin 30 minutes prior, and if you happen to be flying Southwest, you'll want to be there when boarding starts to board with your position.

I suppose its technically possible, but I would not count on everything to be that smoothly and timely. There are too many variables out of your control. I know I wouldn't want to end my vacation rushing through an expensive meal and running Home Alone style through MCO.

Without a working transporter this won’t work.
your wife wants the impossible. As others have said, plan out the logistics, but start w the boarding time backwards

boarding is 30 minutes earlier than departure
6:45 boarding
6 checkin/security/shuttle train to departure side
5 leave Disney and this is pushing 8tntremendously. And means being in the uber, not waiting for the uber
4:30 walk out of MK towards contemporary

so unless they can seat you, order, serve, eat and pay in less than 30 minutes there is no way.

I'm with the PPs. No way. We have TSA pre-check and only do carry ons. Even then, we always leave WDW 2 hours prior to our flight directly from our resort. You can't take an uber directly from MK, so you would have to add walking to CR to get an uber/lyft into your scenario adding at least another 15 minutes onto your travel time. IMHO, you would need to be walking out of MK no later than 4:30 pm to make this work and that is if you already have your boarding passes and TSA pre-check.

That's a negative on that idea... The security lines at the MCO can be crazy.
However, we've always been able to land a BOG reservation on our trips on the day we wanted it. It just takes some persistence and often times people cancel during their stays as plans change. We have a few ADRs that we will likely cancel or modify once our plans are more solidified. Someone persistent person will benefit from us releasing those closer to our trip or during.

I have encountered horrendous security lines at MCO late in the day. No way would I attempt BOG that late. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my meal because I would be so stressed out about making the flight.

It took us about 45 minutes to get through security at MCO around 6:00 pm last month. No way.

we had a 5:00 pm flight last July. it took a good 90 minutes to go thru security, it was completely insane, and we were there at least 2 hours before the flight. I have never been so stressedf.

Keep the BOG page up on your computer at all times.....check every hour or so.....and then have the TP res finder....you can do it! (but you CAN'T make the flight haha)

Nope!!

I changed my hotel yesterday and that necessitated a change for my pre-flight dinner. 9:30pm flight = about a 6:30pm DME time. Initially I was staying at the Poly and felt ok about a 5pm opening dinner Chef Mickey’s. Now that I am at AKL there is no way I am comfortable with that. Boma dinner at opening it shall be.
