BOG order questions

I snagged a 7:30p reservation during our MNSSHP :D

Now I have a few questions:
1. Does each person have to order an entree?
2. Can an adult order from the kids menu?
3. Will pre-order be available for the party?

7:30 is table service and I don't think Pre-order is done for dinner. There is not a rule that says everyone must order an entree though we have not seen huge portions there. Most places will allow a teen to order off the menu but not necessarily adults. Some will allow it with a double cost and a larger serving.. are you sure you want to spend that huge chunk of party time eating?

You cannot pre-order but BOG is fine with everyone ordering whatever they want. You can get just water and a cupcake if you want! We have shared meals here (an entree and two soups is a ton of food) and even had a waiter encourage adults to order a kids meal. The kids salmon and steak were both outstanding (though predictably small portions). Enjoy!

Thank you for the input. We did breakfast previously and with the pre-order, didn't spend too much time. I'd love to do dinner and be out in time for the Villain show.

You probably won't be out in time for the Villain show with a 7:30 even if you all just order cupcakes. I would assume 75 minutes for the experience, and then you would have to get around to the Castle forecourt for any kind of view, and you'll be hiking quite a bit back by that time.

I would really try to get an ADR for another time. That is eating up a lot of precious party time that you pay dearly for.

1. No
2. Probably
3. No

Why would you give up an "hour or so" of party time? Those tickets are so expensive.

You will have to wait to be seated, wait on server to come take your order, wait on your food, wait for your check, wait to pay and then if you want to meet the Beast join him in the library. Easy an hour.

1. Does each person have to order an entree?
-No. We have eaten both breakfast and lunch here and have split entree's. No issues.
2. Can an adult order from the kids menu?
-I don't see why not.
3. Will pre-order be available for the party?
-Not sure

I think what's occurring here is a confusion about the difference between meals at BOG.

For a 7:30 ADR, it is Table Service. You will wait to be seated. Your server will then come to you, maybe not immediately, to take orders. The order will be sent to the kitchen. Even if you order dessert only, you will wait to have it plated and served. You will then eat, and your bill will come at the end of your meal (whatever you do eat). If you want to see Beast, you will queue.

This is not like B or L, where you order ahead, pay at a kiosk, seat yourself, still wait for food, but it is much more streamlined.

The parade is at 8:15/8:30 and 11:15. You will absolutely miss the early parade. The Spelltacular last year was at 8, 9:15, 10:40 and midnight. Some dates there is no 8 show. You might be able to see the 9:15 show, but you'll have to walk around the castle and try to find a spot; like most shows closer in is better. The 10:40 show is often awkward because it's after Hallowishes and the crowd movement is weird.

If you're okay staying until midnight, sure, use a 7:30ADR. If you're not, you're going to miss one of the best parades at Disney and probably have issues making the 9:15 Spectacular (because by then people are also starting to stake out ground for Hallowishes).
