From what I'm reading about BOG for lunch, it is crazy busy and the food is lackluster. We will be with DD 4 and would rather not deal with chaos during lunch. It Tony's quieter? Where can we crash and recollect our energy for the afternoon? BTW from 10-11 we have FP for Ariel's grotto and I FP 1-2 for Anna and Elsa. Lunch would be sandwiched between the two. TIA!

Go to BOG. Your fp's are in Fantasyland anyways. Lunch at BOG is excellent IMO. You'll have an ADR anyways, just make sure you preorder your food. It's definitely crowded but not chaotic.

Check out last week's podcast - The Team did a review of Tony's - said it was loud, chaotic, and the food was terrible, and horribly overpriced. It starts at about 48:40 in.

I agree..BOG is a good choice. Beast's castle inside is so pretty, and we loved the food. We are going back on our next trip, and finally trying the Grey stuff. :)

If those were the only two choices, I'd go with BOG. That says a lot because I wasn't thrilled with either the breakfast or lunch, but Tony's is just no good. I think she will be fine since even though it is a QS you don't have to carry a tray with your food, you do have to get your own drink.

BOG, the french onion soup is excellent, the roast pork with mashed potatoes and green beans large enough to share, the cupcakes are divine. I'd eat popcorn and a pretzel for lunch before I'd eat Tony's

We had a great experience at Tony's the last time we went, but I will readily admit that it seems to be wildly inconsistent, as it is probably the most trashed restaurant on these boards in terms of reviews. Hate that such a great idea doesn't seem to be able to be consistent enough (in a good way) to keep people happy. We were not huge fans of BOG, but mainly because some got the Croque Monsieur, assuming it was going to be comparable to the one at Chefs de France in Epcot, and it was in no way remotely as good...not bad, just not as good as another one that has become a favorite. But everything else was pretty good and, given the location as compared to your prior and later FastPasses, BOG might be most convenient for you. With a four-year old kid in tow, convenience and minimizing walking (or even stroller riding) is always high on the priority list!

There is no worse food in all of WDW than Tony's (well, I exaggerate a bit, Nine Dragons is probably as bad-I'd call it a toss-up.) An awesome quiet lunch can be had at LTT-some of the best food in MK by far. And, Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake....THE best dessert in WDW.

Of the two, I would choose BOG. The ballroom is large and cavernous so it can get noisy, but because of the ballroom decor it is the most popular, especially with those who love that scene in the film. If you choose a table towards the back you can watch the snow fall outside the windows. Avoid the Beast's study/library because it is dark in there and the lightning flashes & other special effects do not make it a relaxing or quiet room. The quietest room is the Music Box room and would be the best choice if you are looking for a quieter spot. We enjoyed the potato leek soup, braised pork and the roast beef sandwich.

I would do BOG. We actually like their lunch and it is so convenient to the location of your FP+. There is NO way I would walk all they way down Main St. and back to eat at TONY'S!!!

Other ideas - Liberty Tree Tavern (better food than Tony's, not as far, fairly quiet), the Plaza (again, better food and not as far, fairly quiet), OR I would do Columbia Harbour House and sit upstairs (food is good and the upstairs can be quite quiet).

IMHO, none of the food in MK is worth criss-crossing the park for. Pick something close to your FP+!

I have not eaten at Tony's, so I can't compare the two. But I will say I love BOG. I actually thought the food was quite good and the atmosphere is lovely. It is a must-do again for our next trip again in a few months. And I agree with the other posters -it will be nice that it is close. I've wanted to try the Plaza on our last few visits, but never did because we'll have to walk back up toward Main St. But I'm doing it in April... I think. ;)

Hands down BOG. The French onion soup and tuna salad are awesome. The kids loved the grilled cheese with tomato soup. My youngest is 4 and she loved it. We ordered before we got there and the food was ready very fast. Don't forget to try the masters cupcake.

BOG lunch is excellent, especially the braised pork and french onion soup! We've eaten there several times, with another ressie next week.

As for the tiny cupcakes, we pass, and enjoy a nice dessert elsewhere later.

Scathing review. and yep, if you can't even get your sauce right at an Italian restaurant, you know you messed up.

BOG, for sure in the choice between Tony's and BOG. Since you're sandwiching with a 2 hour window, strongly consider Liberty Tree Tavern, though. It has some of the best food in MK. The pot roast and ooey gooey toffee cake are incredible.

I don't think I have ever read a great review about Tony's since I started going to WDW in 2002. Nobody I know who has eaten there enjoyed their meal either.

My DD & I like BOG. I love the Quinoa Salad. It's a chilled dish and I find it so good and refreshing on a hot Florida day. Once in a while I get a cupcake. They are tiny and expensive, but I like the lemon or strawberry one. My DD doesn't really care for them.

We have done both: We ate Tony's last May for lunch- we were looking for the same with 2 kids under 5- quiet, restful, and with AC. It was quiet, it was air conditioned and we enjoyed it. I had a salmon salad, the kids had pizza, and my hubby had chix parm. While it was no where near mind-blowing italian awesomeness our expectations were for a decent meal and we enjoyed it. We sat in the sunroom and had a great view of Main St. and our server was attentive. We also did BOG lunch that same trip and we enjoyed it as well- but the process was chaotic due to no strollers allowed and the amazing amounts of people lined up.

We ate at both places last May. Tony's atmosphere was much more relaxing for the adults, (DD4 was bored) but the food really wasn't memorable and neither was the service. While the line for BOG was long, we enjoyed our meals and DD really liked all of the activity and seeing the decor. We would definitely choose BOG over Tony's, especially considering where your FPs are.
