Hi there! Just wondering what your opinions would be on this: we will be at MK for 1 day in September. We have 3 girls ages 9,8 & 3.5. We haven't been to either restaurant. Planning to do an early dinner if we can snag the reso.

So I'm wondering which would be the more magical experience!

Thanks

Just had another thought: what about if we had breakfast at one restaurant and dinner at the other?

I'd do breakfast at bog. You can share and save some money. Then, I'd do dinner at crt. There is no real character interaction at bog dinner so I'd just go for breakfast to admire the place. Especially the west wing.

BOG is per person for breakfast ($24 adullts, $14 child). Are you sure you can share?

VianSa - I haven't been to BOG but CRT is magical. We loved eating there.

Beast is only at BOG for dinner, if that matters. Just seeing the 3 rooms inside the castle is amazing though, even without Beast.

Most economical would be BOG breakfast and CRT dinner.

You can share. It is counter service so you can order what you want and divide it between all of you.

I think that I would take the girls to BOG for either breakfast or lunch, and CRT for dinner.

I would check out the menus and see what appeals more to you. We are doing CRT for breakfast because the lunch/dinner items didn't appeal to us.

Sure can! Disney doesn't mind. They know if you plan on sharing you probably plan on spending somewhere else in the park.

BOG is quick service at breakfast and lunch, and there are no characters. At dinner, though, it is table service and you can meet the Beast after dinner. I've not had dinner at BOG, but I have heard it's a completely different experience from eating there during the quick service meals. I had breakfast there last year and wasn't all that knocked out. It's amazing for a quick service restaurant, but it's kind of hectic and crowded. It's cute, but I'd rather see it during dinner when (I assume/hope) lots of people aren't up wandering around the place getting drinks or finding/waiting for tables to empty out.

All of this to say, if it's in the budget, I'd do CRT for breakfast with the princesses and BOG for dinner with the Beast. If you have to choose between one or the other, I'd go with CRT (for whichever meal). It'll be the more magical of the two.

Thanks for the replies. If we do breakfast at BOG, and dinner at CRT, is it advisable to book a dinner time during the evening show? If so what time should the reso be at? And how much of the show can be seen from inside the castle anyway?

We also want to have our youngest daughter to BBB so we will have to work that in somewhere too.

So many things to plan with Disney trips! And this was supposed to be a 1 park + WP's trip. Now we add MK and all the planning that goes along with it. I do love the planning though ;)

If you want a good view of the fireworks, make sure your meal is over and you can get into a good spot before they start. You don't get much of a view inside the castle. You can see some of them, but it's not the same as seeing the whole show as it's meant to be seen from in front of the castle.

Even at dinner, there are many people wandering from room to room to get pictures. If you are in the west wing, its the worst because A..people want a photo of the rose and B. people want a photo of both the prince and the beast in the picture frame! The food is not great..at least what I got, chicken, and the grey stuff was anything but delicious. It literally was a brownie you get at the local gas station counter, with gray colored whipped cream on top! Breakfast was decent...but no Beast. It was great going once4 (actaully booked twice on one trip because I thought it would be awesome..one breakfast, one lunch), but now that Ive seen it and got photos, I wont be back.

We went right before MNSSHP. My daughter was Lela from Teen Beach Movie. If I planned better, I would have had her dress as Belle and this picture would have been amazing!

I got it mid change!!!

But most of the time I missed it! Plenty of people waiting 10 minutes + for the change and when they miss, they wait another 10!

Great that's what I thought @GPC0321, but then I read a few people's posts saying they were watching the show from inside CRT.

Yeah, that might get on my nerves (though we wandered through the West Wing at breakfast too, because I wanted to see it).
I have no burning desire to go back either, even for dinner. And I adore Beauty and the Beast.

Definitely do CRT - very magical experience! :wizard: Nothing like being inside be castle! BOG is really well themed, but not as magical for us. We prefer brft at CRT and it is cheapest meal, but BOG for brft or lunch is good because you can seat yourself, and wander through all the rooms. You will need dinner if you want to meet the Beast, but as others pointed out you don't get to choose your seat, and I believe the one room may be closed off.

You could try to get BBB at 8:00 am so she can enjoy her makeover all day, and could do late brft at 10:30, and then get latest lunch at BOG around 2:30. This would allow you to rides for the first hour and a half, then plan FP for 11:30-1:30(and make a fourth for after lunch), and then have lunch - you can share and order what you like if not real hungry yet, and try the desserts of course:goodvibes, while checking out the rooms and taking photos. Then you are free for the evening to get spot for fireworks when ready.

If you want to have dinner at either, make it early, around 5, so you have plenty of time before night shows. I would check both menus as PPs mentioned to see which meals work best for you. Try to get what you want at 180 days for the best chances. You will have to call for BBB - I believe it opens at 7, and you can try and get ADRs online at 6, so you can time your BBB along with your plans.

Hmmm, I wonder if it would be best to have breakfast at the resort, head straight to BBB for say 9am then lunch at CRT around 1. Then leave MK around 3, go back to Poly to rest up and have a quick bite before heading back to MK around 7pm for a couple more rides and the show.....so many variables!! We would be foregoing BOG in this plan however.

This sounds like a great plan! Trust me, you are not missing a ton by not going to BOG. BBB and a CRT lunch sound perfect! Just make sure your resting plans dont include the pool! Would be a shame to ruin the hair after just a few hours!

Agree with this. The pool is the wildcard/problem child.

If you would like to see the inside of BOG, you could book a pre-park opening breakfast at BOG and just share one or two items and then head to BBB at 9 am follow the plan above.
