BOG lunch without a FP, what's the likelihood???

We're not staying on property so unfortunately a FP for lunch at BOG isn't an option. Does anyone have any tips on how to get in?

We got back from WDW today and whilst we were there spoke to a CM at BOG; they said availability for lunch without a FP is possible, but people tend to start queuing by 10.00 - 10.15 as lunch starts sitting at 10.30! We also observed this when we walked by several times throughout our stay. So I'd say possible, but get there early and be prepared to eat lunch mid-morning!
