BOG Lunch Questions

We have an 11:45 lunch reservation. When should we arrive to check in? We will be traveling the end of February, which is a less busy time. Even so, will it be necessary to order our food in advance? I'm seeing photos of these lines out the castle door to get in, even with reservations. It is quite something. Any other tips? TIA. Will be with DD 3 1/2; is there a specific dining room we should aim for ? TIA.

We had an 11:45 ADR in June. I just checked my notes and we arrived there at 11:33 and were able to head straight to the cash register to review our order and pay. We were sitting at a table by 11:37. Our food was delivered to the table at 11:49. We had pre-ordered our meals the night before. I don't know how much time pre-ordering saves but we did it because it was convenient and we knew we'd still have the opportunity to change our mind and adjust accordingly when we checked in at BOG. As far as which dining room....we just walked around and looked at all 3 and ended up in the Main dining room because there was a large enough table for our group at a nice location in the room. We really didn't care which room we were seated in.

They wouldn't allow us or anyone else to check in any earlier than 5 minutes prior to your official reservation time a few weeks ago

The west wing may be a bit too intense for very little ones, the ballroom is loud, we preferred the Rose gallery .. Beautiful, quiet, smaller seating capacity and there's a separate beverage station in the room

We did not pre-order and the ordering process was still very quick. We arrived about 10 minutes ahead of time and waited in line for about 10 minutes.

We chose to eat in the West Wing since we had eaten dinner in the Ballroom earlier in our trip. My children were 3 and 1 at the time and they were not scared or disturbed at all by the darkness or noises in the West Wing. I actually enjoyed eating in that room the best because it has so much character. Enjoy!
