BOG lunch on dining plan question

Does anyone know if kids get dessert on the DDP at BOG at lunch? I have heard that they don't but on the DDP description is says that every meal includes dessert. I'm just trying to figure it out, because I know my kids will want a cupcake when they see them. I guess I may have to share...

I know DD got one when we were there in Jan. I tried to check my receipt, but this is the one meal that we had a problem with. For some reason WDW was having major problems with their key cards, tickets, etc this day. My receipt shows a cupcake for DD, but what happened was they charged everything to our room, then reimbursed us as a "coupon". I don't know if it was included or if we paid extra for it because of the way it was rang up. I will tell you it was $2.99 and worth every penny! You will NOT want to share if you have a sweet tooth! (But maybe they can)

In March my kids ordered the kids meatloaf and the meaty macaroni, they did not come with a dessert at lunch. We were on DDP, I just gave them mine to share.


At dinner, however, when it is TS the kids were able to choose a cupcake or cream puff like the adults.

This reminds me, after we got back form our last trip, Disney World called me and told me that they think there MAY have been a mess up and that they thought we might have been charged two snack credits when one should have been charged. By our count, everything was correct, but they were quite insistant about it and refunded our credit card that was on file $4 and some odd change. I thought it was strange that they insisted on refunding money and that they insisted on doing this for such a small dollar amount.

That being said, all lunch or dinner meals on the dining plan come with one entree, one drink and one dessert according to the PDF at:

So, yes it would indeed include a dessert and if they didn't give it, I would push (nicely) for it based on the official rules of the dining plan, it is what you are paying for after all.

Now, sometimes the kids menu items already include a desert and drink, in that case you would not get a second dessert (sometimes they count fruit as a dessert, if it is not a side). I do not know if BOG is one such location or not.
