BOG lunch and dining plan

We have a lunch reservation. I know we can’t preorder and pay out of pocket for some items. Can you if you order at the kiosk? Or do you need to enter two orders? Can that be done? Hubby really wants the French onion soup, but we want to pay out of pocket for it. The rest will be on the dining plan.

We were able to use the ddp for an entree and pay oop for soup.
We were offered a snack credit for the potato soup. CM said the French onion isn't a snack credit since it is now veal based.

There have been recent reports of soup at BOG not being snack credits anymore. So your experience was that the potatoe leek soup was eligible as a snack credit but not the French Onion soup? Anyone else have recent experiences that confirm this?
