BOG: Is the French dip sandwich served warm or cold?

I know that originally the roast beef sandwich was served warm and then suddenly it was not and then the whole sandwich changed so just wondering if the French dip is warm or cold?

I believe it is warm, but it's hard to find a specific answer. Everyone raves about au jus but doesn't mention if it is a hot or cold sandwich.

French dips are supposed to be served hot.

Just had it a week ago and it was warmish with warm au jus but nothing was overly warm, closer to room temp even. But not cold.

my guess is that it supposed to warm...get a soup and slap some of the hot, gooey cheese, and it is still delicious!!
