BOG dinner

I have a BOG dinner for 7 o'clock when Wishes is at 8. I don't mind seeing Wishes from behind the castle (I'm doing a dessert party earlier in the trip) but I'm wondering how long a typical dinner at BOG lasts. Is there any chance that I get seated near my time and I'm out and in New Fantasyland for the 8 o'clock fireworks?

Even seated on time, most table service restaurants take at least an hour. I would say most likely no.

i personally was never seated right away when i got into BOG. we showed up 15 minutes early as directed and still waited about a half hour

We've never been seated on time at BOG and our dinners (3 courses) usually last longer than an hour. I doubt you'll be out in time.

Dang! I got a notice for an earlier time today and of course I missed it. I guess I'll keep my eyes open and hope it falls into place beforehand! Thanks!

I think you can make it. Show up to your reservation about 15 minutes early just in case. I've eaten there a few times and was always seated right away. Make sure you know what you want so when your server comes to order the drinks you can order everything at once. It doesn't take that long for the food to come. Eat quickly and chug that wine! Also keep in mind you can always get your food wrapped up to go if you don't have time to finish it. My boyfriend and I tend to eat quickly and we don't stay long after digesting so our meals here typically take about 45 minutes (and that's with me sipping on two glasses of wine).

We showed up 15 min before our reservation yesterday and were seated 20min after our reservation time.

I'll just keep looking for an earlier time and if not we'll go in prepared! My husband eats ridiculously quick so I'm sure once we're seated we can get it all in within the time...if they can seat us! Thanks for your help everyone!

We've eaten dinner there 5x and were always seated 10-20 minutes after our reservation time, even if we got there early. We normally get at least appetizers and usually dessert and I don't find service slow, but we've never been done in under an hour. If you forego apps/dessert I'm sure an hour is enough time, but getting seated, eating, and getting to where you want to watch Wishes will be a stretch. Good luck finding an earlier time and enjoy :)

15 minutes prior is not enough. Disney actually recommends showing up 15 minutes prior, I would say 30 minutes before. If you are planning on being in the MK that day, I would go up to the podium early in the day and ask if you can be seated earlier. Worth a shot.

BOG is constrained by the kitchen, not the tables. Even if you got in early, you'd be waiting longer for your food.

We were seated at 5:00 for a 5:05 reservation and left at 6:20. We all had 3 courses. Plus the line for Besst was at least 15-20 minutes.

BOG does have "pick up items", meaning they are already prepared and just need to be plated. Ask your server which items those are, and you'll be out in a jiffy.
