BOG Dinner this fall-how many days past 180

I checked as soon as the online window opened up at 180+10 - I wanted a dinner reservation on day 4, but had to settle for our departure day (day 8). For a party of 5.

Thanks for all the comments on personal experiences with booking! Keeping my fingers crossed that something will be available - I also suspect people are grabbing ADRs hoping for free dining...but I don't think free dining will be offered when we are there (based on the last few years), so hopefully if so don't get something this weekend it will open up once they announce the free dining dates!

my 180 was April 10th--got BOG lunch for day 2 and dinner for day 9. It was all there when I wanted them. In fact everything I wanted was available when I wanted it. CRT and Ohana for breakfast.

Just finish my ADR, my window open up this morning, I was able to score 8:10am breakfast on my 3rd day and dinner on my 9th day (the exact dates I wanted). My first day is 9th Oct.

So there's hope for anyone out there. It's still possible to make those ADRs

I would agree, don't give up! I was able to book 2 different days of BOG for our September trip (lunch on our first day and breakfast on our last) on my 180 day. But I'm about to cancel our second one and change it to something else. So people do tweak their ADRs as they plan and things will become available.

i can reserve ADRs for our October trip next weekend and so have checked what is available at 180 days a few times when I've already been up early. BOG dinner hasn't been available at the 180 day mark....for those that have been able to get an ADR...how many days into your trip did you have to go at the 180 day point? (I.e. Those staying on property that can reserve 180+10)...it may affect the day we go to MK!
I wouldn't say that it's not available at all for all of us who did ADRs on day 180. I was able to get all of my ADRs for our September trip. However, once they opened up more times after 6PM, I changed it, so, I guess I got off easy.

Why is BOG Dinner so popular anyway? It's our first time and we honestly wanted to do Breakfast, but it was overpriced and didn't make sense, so we chose to go with Dinner to meet Beast and Belle.

You'll be dissappointed. Belle has never been a part of BoG...Beast only.

No disappointment. I honestly just wrote Belle here, and I'm not entirely sure why, as I know that only Beast is apart of the night.

ETA: I'm tired. ;__; That's why. Not thinking clearly.

Breakfast is popular because of the potential to be in the park pre opening, take pics on main street, and get a head start on crowds at rope drop...it is overpriced, but people are willing to pay it and it's actually a really great use of a QS meal if you're on the dining plan (most bang for your buck)

Dinner is popular in my opinion because the restaurant itself is beautiful and an experience and the food is really good (again in my opinion best food at MK)...

Last trip we were able to get an ADR for BOG on our third to last night, and that was during a long trip, so I know we were only able to get it due to the 180+10 rule.

We wanted the breakfast option for the pre-park experience, but, we're OK with CP at 9:05, even if it's not pre-park, it's not a big deal and I'm getting a lot in exchange for what I pay for, unlike BOG. Lunch, when I went 3 years ago, was alright, I hated the Croque Monsieur. I had no idea it was multi grain bread and I despise that kind of bread as, apparently from what I've heard, I have sensory issues. However, I'm excited for dinner--I can't wait to see what it looks like at night. :)

I've eaten all three meals (b,l,d) and dinner was by far my favorite. I didn't particularly care for lunch (I said I had a fish allergy to get some chicken options, but still didn't really like what I got). I liked breakfast as well, but very expensive if not on the dining plan!

Good to know! Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time out to tell me all this!

No problem! I've gotten so much helpful info from people here that I like to be able to pay it forward...plus talking about Disney helps pass the months till our actual trip!

Just keep stalking the app looking for ADRs. We did our first trip last February and booked it like 1 1/2 months advance (before I knew how much planning you could do with a Disney trip). I checked the app everyday and several reservations popped up a few weeks before we went. I took the first one which was later than I wanted so I kept checking multiple times a day until a reservation at a good time for us became available. I booked it just about two weeks before our short 2 day trip. Of course, this was a low crowd time so I think that helped.

I posted this today, but I would not give up on finding an ADR, we never plan 180 days out for any vacation, not knowing what our daughters schedule will be, so I always have to take whats left. Fortunately I have always been able to find ADR's at all the top choices, you just have to refresh frequently. Today, we are 2-1/2 months out and there were 6 different times available over 3 days for BOG and CRT. I just cancelled one when I found a better one. Our last trip, the same, after calling disney 100 times, I gave up and just refressed the website maybe 25-50 times a day, people book multiple days and once their schedules are more firm, will cancel the other ones. I would just keep trying if you do not find it today, plus people also cancel their trips 30-45 days out, so I would also check around that time.

I know this doesn't help you for fall, but I got an ADR for 5 people at 4:30 for our June trip at 180 days (it is the first night of our trip).

We have done dinner and lunch and while we loved lunch, dinner was the much better experience. For lunch it is basically a CS with ADRs, so there is the hustle and bustle of people going through lines, wandering all over the restaurant for tables- and constant movement around you. For dinner it is absolutely be escorted to your seat, sit down and order off the menu, so it is much calmer inside the restaurant. People often will wander a bit to look around but it isn't the constant influx of people and the bustle of everyone running around the restaurant as it is during the lunch service. Also, of course there is the Beast. He storms through the restaurant occasionally (i.e. as a break is taken and he comes back out) and then although a picture with him is not guaranteed, I've never heard of him actually not being there- if he is gone I think it is very rare. Last time we ate there- our table was right by the Beast's path and as he stormed through, he paused and acknowledged our presence which was pretty great!

We had availability to choose from on day 5 and 6.

Has anyone been able to get a dinner reservation in October on a party night? We will be there the last week of October and ideally would like BOG for our last MK day which is a party night. We're staying on site so I plan to try at 6am the day our reservations open, but we are only staying 6 nights so not sure we have any realistic shot at BOG dinner....

I was able to get a BOG dinner on 18/10, which is a party night. That was on our 10th day (it's on our 10th day not because we couldn't get the reservation before the 10th, just it was planned that way).
