BOG dinner or MK fireworks

Fireworks for sure...maybe treat them to a dessert party for a good view of the fireworks and save BOG for another time. That way you wouldn't have to stake out your spot so early. TS meals do take a lot of precious park time - especially on a short visit.

Touring plans pulled through for me!!! Just 24hrs later I was able to grab a 4:40pm reservation!!! YAY! THANKS GUYS!!!
Now.....another question. I will be at epcot that morning.....what time should I leave epcot in order to make it for my 4:40pm dinner??
What's the travel time between the two parks?

Just wanted to give you a tip about viewing the new fireworks show.. we found a spot at the back of the garden area in front of Casey's (old Fastpass area) about an hour before the show. Everyone was sitting, but once the show started everyone stood and if you are at the back you can lean against the rail which can kind of help you see over anyone tall in front of you. The area was pretty much full by 8:40 PM, but if you can get there an hour before you should be able to find a spot!

It has a great unobstructed view of the castle, which is a must for the new projections! We viewed the fireworks from the Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party earlier in the trip and the view was AWFUL. We couldn't see any of the projections because the trees blocked most of the castle! Just my 2 cents :bored:

Thanks! I was wondering about where to camp out for the fireworks. I don't mind hanging around the spot waiting for the fireworks. We're not a ride kind of family

There's nothing wrong with this at all, I just wanted to comment on it - I can't recall if you said you've been to Disney before? If not, I would really hold off on saying this until after your trip :) I don't mean that rudely. I'm "not a ride person" at every other theme park on Earth - Six Flags, Hershey Park, Kings Dominion, all really not my kind of rides. But Disney rides are nothing like those, honestly.

Haha. Thinking about doing the 7DMT. My girls chickened out last time. I'll def get them to try it this time!

Any interest in things like Under the Sea (Little Mermaid Ride), Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear? All fun and low-key.

We did this as well! We were tired and hot and done with what we wanted to do, so got our spot for 9 pm fireworks around 7:45. We hadn't planned on staking out that early, but it's how our day went. The viewing from against the rail at the back of the garden area was great!

We did BOG dinner and the new HEA fireworks last week.

If the fireworks were the old Wishes fireworks I would say BOG.

But with the new HEA fireworks, I agree with the others - easily HEA.

Good luck getting both!

I finally managed to get an earlier time for my dinner so I will be doing both! Just wondering, did you stay around for the projection show also too? I forgot the name.

Once Upon a Time. And no, we did not. I have seen in before. Nice show. But after HEA which is heavy on projections I did not prioritize it this time.

Yall r so awesome for the help. We havnt been to MK since our boys were little (they are both now active duty soldiers so it's been a long time) we are taking our 8 and 11 year old daughters and they are determined to watch the fireworks... I'm writing everyone's tips down but to clarify we should stand by a rail (in front of it or behind it?) in front on a place called Casey's behind a garden area? We plan on finding a good spot over an hour prior :) 5 more days till we fly from KS to FL! So excited!
