BoG Cold Roast Beef sandwich very disappointing

I was so addicted to this sandwich that when I couldn't get an ADR for our family last week I got an ADR for 1 and took it to go. Someone mentioned on these boards they no longer warm it, but they didn't change the menu (still says served warm) so I thought maybe they were wrong and it was just a fluke theirs wasn't served warm. Nope, the CM confirmed they didn't warm it anymore when I was paying for it.

I wasn't expecting it to make such a difference, but it really did. I used to crave this sandwich but it wasn't nearly as good served cold. So bummed. I guess on a positive note I won't have to worry so much about getting a lunch ADR next trip.

Just thought I'd share in case there are others like me who return here for the roast beef.

Hmm wonder when they changed it.
Mine was warm in September.
I'll be disappointed in April if its full on cold since its my favorite thing to eat there!

Not sure when it happened. I had it in May and it was still served warm. I saw someone post about it being served cold here maybe 3 weeks ago and then last week it was definitely cold. And the CM made a point of saying it was "no longer" warmed before serving after I asked a question about the bread for DH.

DH thinks that it's probably just to save time, but who knows. For $16.99 on a QS sandwich though they can spend the time to warm it up at least.

The last month and a half has seen many sneaky little menu changes across the board. I am not happy with Disney right now. Quality diminishes, but the price keeps going up. I noticed that none of these many changes have been preceded by an announcement, which can only mean Disney knows these changes will not be met with positive reaction. They just thought they'd sneak them in and no one would notice.

couldn't you ask them to warm it up anyway? Even Subway lets you have a sandwich toasted if you want.

Wow that's terrible, I loved that thing when we last went. There is nothing else on the menu that even looked good to me, guess it's off the list.

Online menu now says "Served on a Baguette with Horseradish Bleu Cheese Cream Sauce and Pommes Frites.". No mention of warming. The turkey sandwich description still says "Carved Turkey Sandwich served warm on a Baguette with Dijon Mayonnaise and Pommes Frites."

Hmmmm..... it used to also be served with a horseradish sour cream sauce, not a horseradish bleu cheese cream sauce. That was my favorite thing on the lunch menu. For anyone who has tried the new sandwich...can you tell the sauce is different too?

Feel free to peruse my recent activity. I've been very active on the Dis these last couple weeks, and the majority of my posts are neutral to positive. The last time I quoted you, in a thread that has since been deleted, I do believe I was in favor of Disney, and attempting to keep a fairly civil thread from turning south.

While I love Disney as much as the next Diser, one thing I'm not is a Disney apologist. Re-read this thread. People are unhappy with this surprise menu change.

When we were there last Monday there was no change made on the menu at the time for preorders. And the sauce tasted exactly the same as it always had. I don't like blue cheese so I'm pretty sure I would have noticed that difference.

My DD and I shared this sandwich last trip, and we were likely planning on doing the same next trip. She can't eat blue cheese, though, so between that and the fact that I was a bit torn, we're going to cancel our lunch ADR! There are other decent places to have lunch at MK now!

1) Due to true chemical processes, meat is always tougher to bite/chew when cold.
2) Have no idea whose brainchild idea this was.
