I've never been to BoG for lunch or dinner, so I need more information about the pre-order process.
Does the menu re-set for each person in your party or is everyone restricted by one person's food allergy? If the restriction stays, can I place non-allergy pre-orders first without restriction then add restriction to the last pre-orders?
Are we missing out on many options if we pre-order? I've heard of allergy guests getting an allergy assortment of pastries at breakfast, but each of those reviews spoke with a chef and had not pre-ordered. One other review stated that they did not get allergy pastries. I'm concerned that pre-ordering means no allergy pastries. Is it possible to pre-order something without cheese or with extra "buttery spread" (a special request field or check-list) or is the pre-order menu inflexible?
Please share your special request (or allergy) pre-order successes, suggestions, and failures. Thanks for helping us answer the question to pre-order or not to pre-order.

I was able to pre-order off the allergy menu for myself and the rest of my family off the regular menu.
I am not sure about special requests since I did not have any.

We pre-order for lunch and can do the allergy menu for just some of our party, but it doesn't help us. So we order what is closest to our needs and then we talk to a chef upon arrival who takes our order for the allergy portion and tells the cashier what to enter. We pay and sit down and the order is always out very quickly. I haven't done breakfast but since pastries are for the table there is a chance they could send out all allergy friendly ones. That will likely in part depend on the allergy.

This sounds like a good plan. Do you go to the pre-order line if you pre-ordered - even though you want to speak to a chef?
