So my ADR date is getting closer and I am debating between breakfast (PPO ADR) or lunch at BoG.

The advantages for breakfast are:
PPO (obviously) - if I can't get one we won't eat here for breakfast
my picky eater daughter will actually eat something off the breakfast menu
less busy than lunch (? :confused3)

Lunch:
Better over all menu (but harder to find something for DD)
better pricing

Do you guys have a preference? Thoughts? FYI we are not on the DDP.
TIA!

Actually - I prefer dinner - its the only time you can see the beast - he isn't at any of the other meals and its currently the only place to meet him

Not being on the dining plan I think breakfast is a terrible value. I would do a PPO breakfast at Crystal Palace instead, you'll get so much more for your value. If you want to visit BOG I'd go at lunch or dinner. I love their lunch menu and cost is better than breakfast.

I was debating Crystal Palace but my daughter is not a fan of Pooh at all and I have heard the food terrible! (please correct me if I'm wrong!) Wouldn't it also cost us much more to have breakfast at CP? I figured if we did BOG breakfast we'd split an entree for the three of us. We also were considering CRT for breakfast but the price is crazy and we are planning on Akershus in Epcot.

Crystal Palace breakfast is delicious. I've heard mixed reviews on other meals.

CP breakfast is $31.94 for an adult and 19.16 for a child. Meanwhile, BOG breakfast is $14 for a child, and $24 for an adult, and feature extremely small portions and sad pastries. I don't know that splitting 3 ways works to actually assuage hunger; if you are just paying for experience, well, maybe.

For Breakfast you can Go to Kona, it's good price and you can try Tonga Toast and pancakes

Crystal Palace breakfast is actually really good. I love the Pooh's puffed french toast. You can also eat much more (as it's all you can eat). However if your daughter is not a fan of pooh, it probably wouldn't be worth it for you.

Other concern with CP is since I'm looking mainly for PPO, is the location. We plan to hit up Princess Fairytale hall and 7DMT first. Plus my daughter isn't a big eater so a character buffet with characters she doesn't like is a bit of a waste for us. I know she'll pick at the other character meals too but at least its with characters she wants to see.

Lunch hands down- it is actually less expensive to eat lunch at BoG than at breakfast where they gouge you $24/adult for an entrée and $14/kid (still cannot believe they want to charge $14 for a bowl of cereal!) I did PPO breakfast last week and while it was nice to be in a prime location, it does not guarantee you'll get on the rides/attractions any sooner than the rope drop crowd. We finished eating breakfast at 8:30ish (8am breakfast ressie) and stood in line to wait for 7DMT, which didn't actually start running until a little after 9AM (delay due to mechanical problems). The CM did allow for the line of PPO diners to go before the RD crowd but still, by the time we were done, it was too late to hit up Princess Fairytale Hall (specifically A&E) without a significant wait already. Thankfully, we visited A&E the night before during Wishes when the line was short so I'm glad we didn't try to squeeze in Mine Cart and princesses our PPO breakfast morning because we realistically could only take advantage of doing one attraction.

We LOVED lunch there. We just got some sandwiches but they were so good. We did a lot of TS and QS and lunch at BOG was one of our faves for sure!
