had an 8 am ressie for 9 am park open. Arrived at 7:30 for check in and was let into park around 7:45. Was really great having pictures of fantasyland being empty.
We got seated about 8:10 and were done eating about 8:30.
The food was not great, in fact we cancelled our breakfast ressie for 2 days later.
They did let us ride 7dmt at about 8:45 and we were able to ride 2x.
The reservation was worth it for that, but not the food.

The dinner on the other hand was amazing. Best steak I have had at disney and was amazing experience and food.

Congrats on everything except the food... I didn't think the food would be good by the looks of it. Glad you got to ride 7dmt 2X's there were reports of that not happening lately.

That's interesting because I would have said I had the opposite experience. I thought the food was far better at breakfast and the benefit of being able to ride SDMT twice before the RD crowds definitely added to the experience. With dinner however I wouldn't recommend it at all - the food was overpriced and some of the worst I ate all trip! The only upside was the M&G with the Beast. It just shows how two people can have completely different experiences :-)

Does anyone know if it's possible for an adult to order from the kids' menu? Not on the dining plan. Thank you!

So if a person had no interest in riding SDMT, would you recommend keeping a reservation for breakfast or not? Would you also mind sharing what you ordered?

I have a BOG 8:10 breakfast ADR for February. The food doesn't look nearly as good as the other breakfasts I've had in Disney. But, Elsa is a must for us and I'm hoping we can use the time to get to see her without a long wait. I really hope it's worth it. We're on the dining plan and will save up some snacks in case. ;) What meals did you order? I just want some waffles - is that so hard? Maybe the menu will change before we get there.

Me too, I just want a plate of Mickey waffles!

We've got a sdmt FP, but are doing BOG breakfast to get past the rope drop craziness. DH said he's rather get there early and eat in air conditioning than wait 45 min with the hoarders at the entrance. We're heading towards tomorrowland after rope drops and were able to leave fantasyland.

What food did you order any why didn't you like it?

For me it looks nice because it is closer to French or European style of food. If you want Mickey waffles there are a dozen places you can get them (and I am planning to at Whispering Canyon Cafe), but the food at BOG looks more upscale than a typical American breakfast.

I want Mickey waffles at "counter service" that allows me to be in MK before open. That's not too much to ask, right? ;)

We'll just stick with the BOG 8:10 ADR. For the folks that have eaten there - care to share what you ordered? I'm thinking about getting the Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese since I don't like eggs. Seems boring but hopefully the pastries will make up for it!

I am surprised there isn't anywhere offering Mickey waffles in the MK (except Crystal Palace), but if they did offer them at a counter service place (like Cosmic Ray's) I really don't think it would be open before park opening!

If all you want is Mickey waffles there are a lot of places you can get it cheaper. Or if you want to be in the Magic Kingdom pre-opening why not do Crystal Palace instead?

We're not huge breakfast eaters, I don't think we could manage enough food at Crystal Palace to make it worth the cost. I like the look of the options at BOG (I'm English and I like a more European style of breakfast) but I'm worried about the quality. I feel like you can't screw up a Mickey waffle!

Crystal Palace is only $3-$8 (seasonal pricing, taken from All Ears) more expensive than BOG. In theory the quality would be better, as it is made to order, not left in a buffet cabinet, but that may not be true in practice. Reviews have seemed to saw the quality is good, just the portion sizes aren't huge.

We had a poached egg sandwich w bacon ...I think it could have been good but arrived cold and was a bit hard.
I wouldn't do the am without 7dmt. ..seemed pretty pricey for breakfast.
