BOG breakfast and rides

OMG, that is hilarious! Where did you guys sit? We were right inside the doorway to the left as you enter the dining room from the podium where the pre-orders pay. Did you guys have a delay with your food, too? We also ate lunch there and that food came super fast (within 5 minutes) so I wasn't sure if breakfast was an anomaly or what.

I would think so. we didn't go for A&E so no personal experience, but there were no ropes up anywhere and it seemed like you'd be free to wander about Fantasyland as you pleased.
We were straight in, the first long table by the entrance into the room on the right. I guess you would say on the aisle that goes between the two side rooms. We didn't have any delay at all for our breakfast. We were seated before 815 and our food came at 815 on the dot! Same experience w lunch. I LOVED the food there! Great food for a quick service and the dinner was amazing! Can't wait to go back someday

We just did this on June 7th. Highly recommend pre-ordering breakfast. Pre-ordering isn't something you need to do way in advance...we did it the night before so that at least everyone's choices were somewhat fresh in our minds!

Our ADR was at 8:15, and we were let in right as they started admitting breakfast guests (a few minutes prior to 8:00). Pre-ordering was key because it seems that not too many people did it, and because we did, we were able to bypass a big ordering line and got seated immediately. We sat down to a nearly empty dining room, and by the time our food came, it was packed. We waited a bit for our food (maybe 15 minutes? It was long enough that my husband was starting to doubt the magic--LOL!), so that gave us plenty of time to explore the restaurant and take pictures. The food arrived fresh and hot, so I have no complaints about the amount of time we took. We ate at a leisurely pace, hit the bathrooms, which took some time because we have two pokey little kids), and had our first ride picture on 7DMT at 8:42. Our second ride photo was at 8:47. When we got off the second time, we witnessed the RD horde (and yes it's a horde!) being led around the corner by the Tea Cups. The CMs manning the entrance told us we could ride again before the RDers made it through the SB queue (we were being funneled through the FP+ queue), but we decided to head for Peter Pan instead. BOG breakfast was definitely the best money we spent based on what we got for it (decent food + 2 7DMT rides).

Same here! Reservation at 8:05. 2 rides on SDMT and then straight to PP as the rope drop crowd was coming into the area. Walked on PP, IASW and HM. We were early for our SplMt FP but the standby wait was only 10 minutes so we rode standby (more like a 5 minute wait) and switched the FP for a Jungle Cruise one. Did BTMRR with FP, had a 15 minute wait at POC, hit JC, with the FP procured earlier, hit up Swiss Family Treehouse and explored and shopped a bit before a 1:00 lunch at LTT (awesome food). Watched the FOF parade from the edge of Frontierland, caught Mickey's Philharmagic for a much needed AC break, then headed to Tommorwland with just as much luck on rides as we had that morning! Getting that early start and loosely following a touring plan cheat sheet (Thanks, Josh!) really seemed to put us way ahead of the crowd. It was a great day and my family decided that booking the BOG prepark opening ADR was the best thing ever!

This thread and an ADR for 8:20 has me very excited to completely rearrange my August plans. It's always worth the $ to get in the park before official open!!

Thank you @WEDWDW for the bus times!!!

I was only able to get a 8:45 adr for our August trip. I'm wondering if it is even worth it as by the time we're done it will be past rd time and lines will already be developing?

Can I piggy back on this thread? I scored an 8 AM on August 25th. WE are staying at the Grand, but I know that the monorail has modified hours. I want to arrive early so we can check in before 8. What do you think we should do? DOes the resort have buses when the monorail is not running and the boats have not started?

Did you try searching for reservation at 8am specifically? It has been noted that searching for "breakfast" will usually not pull up earliest availability.

I believe there are always buses running. Not sure if the monorail will still be on modified schedule in August/what that schedule may be.

It really depends on why your going? For the experience of the castle or to get to the ride/attractions?

A little note, if you are going for SDMT timing is CRUCIAL. We were done eating (8:15 adr) and out and at the ride by opening and the line was all the way down to the teacups already. For that one, 1 or 2 minutes can mean you end up all the way behind the rope drop crowd, there isnt the time for the line to build up from 10 min, to 30 min etc like the others. In theory we knew all of this, just didnt think about it at the time when it mattered!
