Hello! I am taking a break at the resort and wanted to provide feedback on my experience at BOG. We are on a short trip and only booked fast passes about 20 days in advance. I knew this breakfast would be the only way we could get the mine train accomplished. We spent 2 days at MK, and had a pre park opening BOG reservation both days:
Wednesday, June 3:
Park opened at 9. I found an 8:05 res for 4 on the first day that reservations for breakfast opened. We were let into the MK at 7:45. Took our time walking back, checked in and were directed to the line for people that preordered (this is important...the other line was pretty long). We got our food and were done eating by 8:30. We walked outside and stood with the CM at the rope. They saw us holding a baby, so they gave us the rider swap ticket while waiting. At roughly 8:45 they let us through the FP line and we were the very first train out for the day. Very cool. By the time we got off, the wait was 60 minutes.
Sunday, June 7:
I found an ADR late last night for 8:15, so I jumped on it. We arrived late today and did not enter MK until 8:15. We got into BOG and ordered at 8:26 (it took longer than necessary due to a broken computer). The food took longer today as well. At 8:40, I decided to leave my husband and baby inside, and took my 5 year old out to ride 7DMT. When we walked out, people were already riding. We jumped right on and were off by 8:45. The main crowd had not arrived yet so we were able to go through the FP line and ride again. My guess is the people that were out of BOG by 8:35 most likely got to ride 3-4 times before the park officially opened. I guess it just depends on the day, but it was definitely some extra pixie dust today for anyone in the park that early! My husband had our food boxed up and he met us outside.
As for the food, I ordered the kids French toast both times and it was very good. No issues there. DH had the open faced sandwich both times. The first day, he loved it and said it was the best breakfast he has had in WDW. Today, however it was not as good. The eggs were runny and the cheese was not melted.
Still, we both agreed that the pre park opening BOG breakfast is an awesome deal, no matter what your plans are afterwards. I would pay just about anything to walk right into the park and not have to fight my way down Main Street.
Let me know if you have any questions!
