BOG (and other Quick Service) To go

Can you get quick service food to go at quick service restaurants? Particularly Im interested in BOG breakfast and Columbia Harbor house lunch. We're planning on trading a BOG PPO for EMM which comes with a breakfast buffet, but I REALLY had my heart set on that fried Cro-nut. Is it possible to preorder one to go? Or do you have to sit there and eat it? Also for CHH I really want to try the Lobster roll but my family wants to eat at Pecos Bills. Can I order it to go and go sit with them? Thanks

You can't really order them "to go," but there's nothing stopping you from ordering, getting your food, and taking it elsewhere to eat. However, it will be delivered on a plate on a tray, so you may want to take some kind of "to go" container with you to put it in to make transporting it easier. Walking through MK with a tray of food could be dangerous. Remember, if you order the Cronut at BoG, you'll also get whatever comes on the plate and the plate of pastries, so you'll need a pretty large "to go" container or containers.

I wouldn't spend an additional $25 on the cronut when you are already getting the breakfast buffet with the Morning Magic.

On your Epcot day, get a cronut for much less expensive at the Refreshment Port.

I suspect this is to avoid extra cost of packaging, increased waste, and the increased amount of demand for sit down bench areas.

To go orders kill kitchen efficiency, bogging everything down. In high volume situations like at WDW, it would be a killer. It's very much for the best that they do not do to-to orders.

I agree with PP who suggested getting the cronut from Refreshment Port on Epcot day. As for the CHH/Pecos Bill day, order your food from CHH and ask for an extra plate to cover it and then walk down to Pecos Bill. The walk isn't terribly far, and you'll have no issue bringing the food in to eat with the rest of your family. No to go containers or packaging, as mentioned.

They won't give you something to wrap up leftovers at the counter service places in the parks? Honest question, because the last time I remember getting a clear plastic container from Cosmic Rays was 2000 (my friend and I were 16 and made very poor choices that night...like going to Cosmic Rays for a second dinner instead of straight to a bus... and missed our last bus to our off site resort. But at least we had our leftovers so we didn't starve). My husband makes sure we have no leftovers so I haven't had a need to ask.

Some CS places will have containers, but not all. Some will only have additional plates or bowls to use as covers so it is best to have your own ziploc bags or containers if you want to take food to go.

FYI, the bakeries in Norway and France provide nice to-go containers for your purchases.
