Moderator's please don't get mad that I posted this here - no one is really talking about BOG in the Dining Plan section!

I just noticed on my ADR for Dec 2012 that in 2013 BOG will only be 1 credit for Dinner in the DELUXE or higher priced dining plans!!!

Anyone else notice this?

Could they be revamping the Signatures and only making them available to deluxe or above? It would certainly explain the price for Deluxe for 2013!
(I know BOG is not Signature but it certainly sounds like they could make it one - fine french dining!)

Moved to the Dining Plan board - that's where the question belongs.

The Disney website is saying this for a lot of restaurants - not just BOG but also Tony's and 'Ohana, to name two. It's a glitch, and the site is incorrect. Use the brochure linked in the 2013 dining plan sticky to see what is on the plan. No, they are not revamping the signatures, and no, BOG is not a signature and there are no plans to make it a signature.

Fine french dining? That remains to be seen. I mean they are serving cupcakes as dessert items on the dinner menu.

Cupcakes are huge and popular and easy to make.

What I am considering about BOG is that it is a HUGE restaurant (capacity is about 550) going for one credit on the dining plan in a theme park that is not known for its fine dining. I think it will be more Chefs de France than Bistro de Paris, if the offerings are even identifiable as French at all.

I noticed that there are no prices on the menu yet. Does anybody know if it's going to be like a wedding type of dinner? Meaning they will ask you what you want and serve it out to the masses and get everybody out for the next seating? :surfweb:

Seeing as it doesn't open for another three months, they probably just aren't ready to publish the prices yet. But we do know it's only going to be one DDP credit for dinner, so it probably won't be signature type prices. But as for serving the masses, it may be a good idea to remember that this is a large restaurant.

i agree, i have eaten in many fine french establishments, and a few dodgy ones having married a french man and living there for 11 years, and not one did i ever see a cupcake as dessert in any of them!!!

alot of simple french dishes could be mass produced and provided easily- hey they have an amazing boulangerie in epcot- why not ship some in from there??

we will be eating there next year for lunch, but we ll be going for the decor not the food (and lets be honest the first thing MY kids do when staking at wdw menu is check out the dessert menu!!!
