BOG ADR 8:35

We have an BOG ADR at 8:35. I love the idea of getting into the park early (park opens at 9 and we have never had an opportunity to walk down main street before park opening) but i also would like to take advantage of getting on 7DMT when rope drops and I'm afraid that 8:35 does not give us enough time for that. Today I was able to score an 11:10 lunch ADR at BOG and trying to decide which is a better option...don't want to have breakfast at 8:35 and then lunch that early at 11:10. now here's a slightly "hot" question. Could we check into our breakfast BOG ADR and not actually eat? Or order a coffee and then leave? So in theory, use the ADR to get in early but not actually eat breakfast so we can be at rope drop to ride 7DMT?

You can get in with the early BOG crowd...you don't have to wait until 8:35. There will be a variety of ADR times in the same line hoping to be let in around 7:45-8ish I believe. They don't line you up at the gate in order of ADR time...they just confirm you do have a pre-park ADR to let you stay in that early line

Thanks for the reply...I do realize i can line up to get in the park at 7:45, i'm just worried about going to breakfast at 8:35 and being tied up eating until past 9am when rope drops.

Could you? Maybe. Is it at all the right thing to do? No.

Or order a coffee and then leave?
This is actually okay.

Disney have the $10 no-show for ADRs for a reason, and "checking in and leaving" is circumventing the purpose of the rule. Disney allow a la carte ordering at BOG for breakfast (and at non-buffet ADRs) without a minimum spend.

We had an 8:50 BOG ADR a few weeks ago and they let us in to eat at 8:05. They don't check ADR times between 8 and 9. As long as you get there early and get in line you can eat before 8:35. We got to the park at like 7:20, they let us in around 7:50, we took pictures on Main Street, and we were sitting in BOG waiting on our food by 8:10. We had a great breakfast at a nice pace, walked out about 8:35 and got in line for the 7dmt. We rode that and then got in line for Peter Pan before the RD crowd got there. It made a really hot, crowded day go very well!

Yes, you can check in and then order a minimum amount and then leave. You may or may not be able to get into the line for the Mine Train, and you may or may not miss the RD crowds. Watch the MK opening time, because it sometimes wil change to 8 AM.

Thank you. I knew my question was not really the right thing to do..was just trying to figure out how the best way for us to get in there and get out as quickly as possible without missing the benefits of being in the park pre-rope drop. I think maybe we'll go in and get some coffee and grey stuff since it sounds like those are something we shouldn't miss out on!

That is great to know! I'm hoping to hear others say the same thing and that you weren't just one of the lucky ones! but it makes me hopeful!
