A couple of questions...

First off - we will be pre-ordering before we arrive.
Late Aug on a Tues morning.
2 adults, 2 kids. Daughter 11 and Son 5
First day in park. First trip for our son. First time at BOG.

Questions:
1. What time should we arrive at MK for this time? Will they let us in with early crowd at 7:45?
2. Once inside MK, will they possibly seat us early? And if not - what are the chances we will actually be seated at 8:25?
3. I've heard there are different rooms to sit in - are there any advantages for service/ambiance etc based on the room?
4. Once seated, how long does it normally take for food to be served? We are on the DDP. Can we ask to pay right away once we order for gratuities etc? Mama might need a mimosa already if available.... lol totally kidding, not kidding.
5. Are we expected to clear our own dishes. (Don't want to make a faux pas... LOL)
6. What is a reasonable amount of time we should expect to be there - considering my kids will probably be biting at the bit to eat and run because they will be completely over the top with adrenaline!

We also have ADRs at Supper where we'll get to meet the Beast and likely be a more relaxed participant in the themeing. :) We are SO excited!!!!

You typically won't be seated early as there are plenty of reservations before yours.

There are different rooms but the service is the same in all. Many don't like the West Wing as its dark and small and many people come to take photos. We do love this room though and have never been bothered by other guests.

The food usually arrives within 5 minutes. You pay when you enter the restaurant so when you're done you just leave.

You don't need to clear your plates when finished.

We've been in and out in 40 minutes. It's typically pretty fast.

What time does MK open that day?

For breakfast it is quick service so you do not pay gratuities, only at dinner at BOG.

For breakfast and lunch you get to seat yourself once inside. It doesn't hurt to try and see if they will accept your reservation early maybe starting at 15ish minutes earlier. It all depends on what it looks like for them. You could get in earlier, you could not...your chances are pretty much the same either way.

Last year I had to split our breakfast reservation into 2 parties (only way we could get to eat there) one party was at 9:15am the other was at 9:25am I told them the situation (about having to split reservations so we could eat there) and they had no problem letting all of us in at 9:10am. We went through the line to order our food and that took us maybe 5 minutes...I did not know about pre-ordering..so I had everyone look before hand to decide what they wanted. There was no wait at all in the castle, or at the kiosk to order. We went in Oct.

What time does MK open that day?

MK opens at 9 a.m. Unless it gets moved about with future Early Morning Magic hours... then who knows? :)

How do they know which table you are choosing to sit at to bring the correct meal if you've pre-ordered? Just curious.

Ok the picture of the outside of the castle where the lady and boy are(left side under the castle)... that is where you check in for your reservation they will then hand you a "rose" (from that outside area where you checked in at) pictured in the second picture this links to your magic band and you take it to your table, the restaurant uses the rose to view your order and find you within the castle. Your food will arrive and the CM will take your "rose".

From my understanding from other threads I have read about pre-park ADRs is that you can get into the ADR line after bag check and will be let in at 7:45...I am not entirely for sure on that part. Because then you (in your case) are in 30 minutes early..I have an 8:05 pre-park ADR and the other threads have said I will get in at 7:45 (that gives us 10-15 minutes) so for me personally I am going to arrive at 7:25 to do bag check and hopefully get let in a little earlier then 7:45. All I can do is ask, they worst the can tell me is to wait til 7:45.

They should let you in MK early, but I wouldn't count on being seated early. I love the ambiance of the ballroom the best, but that's just personal preference. At lunch our food was served quickly, we were in and out in under an hour and that was with time taking photos of the castle and feeding our baby. I can't remember if we cleared our own dishes or not.

We had an 8.15 on 4/7. We were through bag check and in the PPO breakfast line by 7.30. We were let into the park at 7.45. The CM's at the BOG podium didn't care what time our ADR was for, they just gave us a rose and sent us to the line. We were one of the first parties to sit down.

Breakfast was nice and quiet compared to lunch. I think the subdued lighting has an effect on people who haven't been awake for very long. I've had all three meals now at BOG, lunch and dinner more than once, and I think breakfast is a close contender to dinner. The food was good, and though it is expensive, the offerings are unique and there was plenty of it, plus, like I said, it was quiet and subdued, no cafeteria feel to it at all. I hope you enjoy both your meals there. It's my favorite restaurant.

Is the rose only if you pre-order? We've been twice (no pre-order) and never received a rose (which is fine). They found us via our MBs.
