In Sept my DD will be 6yrs old and approx. 43-44". I am thinking about taking her to "Body Wars" but I am having some doubt if she will like it.

I personally have not done "Body Wars" in so long that I don't remember much about it. Would you all please give me your opinions on what I should do - I would be most grateful:wave:

Kids generally have a higher motion tolerance than adults do - at least in my opinion! :)

It's a VERY jerky ride, and it probably has the worst track record as far as making people sick.

There's really no scare factor - unless you're queasy about blood and such.

The premise is that someone got lost while investigating a splinter inside of someone's body. Your mission is to be "miniaturized", and find the person and help them. Mayhem ensues, and you end up on a rocky ride through the circulatory and central nervous systems.

I don't have kids, but this will bump your post back up and maybe someone with kids can give you more relevant information.

Good luck, and have a great trip!

You may not have to worry about it. The entire "Wonders of Live" pavilion now opens only during periods of "peak attendance." Unless you are visiting over Labor Day weekend, I kinda doubt that it will be open any other portions of September.

Although I don't remember much about the ride either, I do know that my DS's both enjoyed Body Wars when they were 6. They were scared by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain but had no problems with simulators (including Star Tours and Dinosaur).

Has your daughter experienced a simulator before?

DD - barely 7 - loved Body Wars last year and all simulator rides. She felt so grown up riding them and had no problems at all. If you close your eyes, it's nothing, really. I hope it's open for you guys!

I'm not sure what constitutes "peak season" but when I was there in early March the crowds were bigger than I had ever seen and it was still not open. I really don't think they are planning to open it again, really. JMHO!

:( :( :( :(

The first time I took my DD to WDW she was 6. The first park we visited was Epcot. The first attraction we visited was Body Wars. It scared her bad enough that the only thing she wanted to ride the rest of the trip was Dumbo.

I should have known better and started her out with something a little more tame.

Just my 2 cents!

Peak is the two weeks surrounding Easter, June-August, and the last two weeks of the year, at least according to the blackout dates for FL resident seasonal passes. HTH :D

I am not sure if Body Wars will be open in Sept. This ride is located inside of the Wonders of Life pavillion which is now only open seasonally due to not having a sponsor any longer. Sept is usually considered value/slow season so I would bet on this pavillion not being open.

If you are interested in the movie aspect but worried about the simulation, ask the CM for a "non moving ride due to motion sickness". This is one of the attractions where that is possible, they will than put you in your own "pod"

Enjoy
