Body Glide Question

We are doing last minute shopping, as we leave for WDW tomorrow.

Picked up some Body Glide at Sports Authority. Had no idea what it was, but it was on the list of things to get from surfing these forums.

After reading the directions, can I assume this product is mostly a "personal" feminine product, that my wife should use and probably not share with myself, DS4 and DD2? :confused3

Thanks!

Joey

Well, it isn't a "feminine product," like other "feminine products." :) Runners use it on their feet and thighs and such (boy runners, too!)...anywhere that friction will be a problem. But if you all don't want to share the same tube, you could get a few extra. :)

Have a great trip!

LOL, no, good for everybody. :)

I use it on my feet in the morning at WDW, makes for a good foot day.

Enjoy the trip.

My DH used it on the back of his foot....his shoe had started to rub...he said it worked great!

We all used it on our feet when we in WDW in sept. It worked really well, no blisters. Used it on my heels and bottoms of my feet. Also when a certain of area of my feet started feeling sore I applied extra there the next day. My feet did get sore but never got a blister.

While Body Glide sure sounds like an adult product (especially when you ask the clueless 17 year old at the sporting goods store if they carry it, but that's another post) it is to be used by any sex, any age on any area that may chaffe or blister. That means use it on your feet (under your socks is fine). Use it along the bra line if that is an area you sometimes chaffe in. Use it on your kids (and your) thigh area to prevent that end of the day bow legged limp walk out of the parks. In short, Body Glide is one of the best inventions to date. If you don't want to all apply the same container to yourselves, you can scoop some off the top and then the product inside the container is only touching fingers and not feet, etc.

I had never heard of Body Glide until I came to these forums. It's definitely on my list of things to get for the trip.

 Three cheers for bodyglide! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I heard about it here first and then thought 'what the heck, it's worth a try'. Bought some and I can actually say it is GREAT! Always get a few hot spots when I do a lot of walking. I put some on before we left in the morning, and NEVER had a problem! Loooooovvvvvvveeeeee IT!

If I'm going to a theme park on a hot day that I know I'll be sweating or if I'll be riding water rides, I HAVE to use Bodyglide or by the end of the day my inner thighs will be red and I will be walking very funny!!!

Hah! I just gave my stick to my DH for his first half marathon tomorrow. He is going to be SO happy he has it! I never thought of taking it to Disney though - smart!

Between Body Glide and our Crocs, none of the 5 of us even had a hot spot - let alone a blister! This is the best vacation my feet have ever had. :goodvibes :cool1:

Think of this as something that will prevent chafing. If you've ever run an hour and got sore nipples as a result, this could help. Of course, this is really meant for other areas since long runs will be rough on the nips - (so use bandaids and nipgaurds). Back on topic, Vaseline works just as well as BodyGlide.

I used this product for the first time during out last WDW trip, thanks to info from the DIS! :thumbsup2 It works great!

No, it is not a feminie product and says so on the back label. It's just happens to be made by a company that also make feminie products.

My DH used it as well and it worked on him too! It's great if you're going to be out sweating and walking for about 15 hours! Oh joy...a day at Disney! :goodvibes

I picked some up today from Sports Authority. I couldn't find it at Target but I wasn't sure what I was looking for and where to find it there so it might be there. Dunno. I'm not sure if there were 2 kinds there because there was a crowd at the registers so I couldn't see what was next to the stick version but I got the stick version that looks like a deoderant stick. And I was just posting to help people to find it if they go there looking for it and so they don't have to search the store twice and then end up asking for it. We found it at the registers. THANKFULLY they know what it is so one doesn't have to feel like they are asking for an adult product! :rotfl: I woulnd't want to ask someone at Target for it, they would REALLY give you a weird look. THANKS to the DIS board members :cheer2: for this AWESOME recommendation! It should be a mandatory item to buy for a WDW trip.

I used body glide on our trip in October and to tell you the truth, it was not any better then the generic stuff I have been using! I was really surprised! I had heard so much praise about it. So, I guess it's up to you what you want to use but off the counter stuff is cheaper in the long run in my book. Helen
