The Village Green overlooks the grassy area in front of the lake-side entrance to the BWI/BWV. In the photo, you can see the BWI just across the way and the surrey bike rental area just beyond their balcony. You can see the striped awning over the entrance to the bakery in the background.

Yes, it's a regular Preferred View. I think I read here that all of the Village Green-facing rooms are studios. I hope someone will confirm or correct me on that info.

We were on the 4th or 5th floor with a village green view last summer. It was an awesome room and we enjoyed the view, but our balcony was the regular squeeze-yourself-on-out-there type. The large balcony was just below it. We could have spit on it if we wanted!

We had a studio like that July 2010, I think it was on 3rd floor, was awesome, the balcony was same size as room!!!

We had one of those last year too. They should put some chaise loungers out there - the two little chairs and table looked so puny! Unfortunately for us love bugs checked in right after we did and our gigantic patio became useless! I would love to get another of those rooms again someday!

Wow! I wonder if all the rooms facing the Village Green have balconies that large? I've never stayed at BWV, only the Boardwalk Inn many years ago.

We were in a studio above that one on our honeymoon. We had a tiny little balcony. We were sitting there one night enjoying the view and my husband was playing with a water snake he bought in the one of the parks. Well it slipped out of his hand and fell down onto the huge balcony below us. It was so funny!

the guy above us was not so nice - every day we would find what he tossed on our big balcony (2031). paper, plastic wrappers, cig butts, bread/food for the birds (which meant bird poop and ants for us). i watched as a crumpled bag came down one day (guess he didn't know i was outside sitting near the doors), and we saw him tossing stuff as we were walking the BW as well, so we knew who the messy culprit was.
it got better after we mentioned it the front desk. i still had a bit of cleaning up each day out there, but not nearly as bad as previously.

That is just unbelievable! People continue to shock me everyday. I'm glad you mentioned it to the front desk, I'm not so sure I would have been so nice! I may have had to make a visit!

After 3 years of playing it by ear and getting craptastic ground floor rooms 3 times in a row I'm gonna request one of these rooms if I can. LOL Me want balcony not patio. LOL LOL

p.s. We've had our DVC for over 10 years now and only in the last 3 have we had ground floor. I wonder if they keep giving those rooms to people who don't speak up and just accept it when truthfully we'd always rather have had a balcony.
