Early one morning during my recent trip to WDW,I saw something that looked A LOT like a small(not fully grown) Bobcat in the Dalmatians courtyard.

I tried to snap a pic,but it ran into the bushes before I could.

Is it at all possible I saw a Bobcat or was it most likely just a "regular" cat?:)

Yes could have been a "wild" cat.

I once was on a bus with a driver who clearly was full of Disney Trivia. He listed all the animals natural to the area and spotted on Disney property. All the ones we talk about plus the deer, wild cats, wild pigs and more.

Bobcats can be quite small. On the small end the size of a housecat. And there are other cats including panthers, lynx ....

I'm going to go with it being a bobcat.

In December, while sitting on our balcony at BLT, I heard the bobcat's distinct cry three nights in a row.

Thanks for the replies-I'm thinking now it definitely was a small Bobcat.

I knew when I saw it that it sure did look like a Bobcat, but told myself-no way a Bobcat is IN the Dalmatians Courtyard walking along the SIDEWALK!lol:)

I guess my list of animals I have seen at WDW can now read:

BOBCAT
Alligator
Turkey
Raccoon
Otter
Deer
Armadillo:)

Walking to the food court from Fantasia a raccoon ran from the baby pool across to the main pool. I don't know who was more scared me or the raccoon. This happened at daybreak.

I once saw the biggest rat ever at Magic Kingdom. It ran out of some shrubbery and into another garden area just as it was getting dark one evening. It was HUGE. I'd rather see a bobcat.

Could be worse. I stayed near Dollywood. A bear ripped the big trash bin open one night, and the guest book said grey wolves had been on the porch. My wife likes to go out for an early morning run, but she was wary when I said watch out you don't trigger a flight response.

There are bear warnings at Fort Wilderness. Not sure if any have ever been sighted there, but certainly not out of the realm of possibility. We live not too far away and have lots of bear.
