BOB Revolution at WDW (not a security question)

I did a search but only found posts about security concerns. So, with that question covered, I am concerned about its size and transporting it. It's a pretty bulky stroller. Will we hate taking it? We will be driving to the parks from OKW, so I am most worried about getting it on the trams. Whatcha think?

Thanks!

I think you'll be glad to have it!

We brought our beast of a double stroller last year and never used the trams. If you get to the parks early enough, you can walk the same route the tram takes and it's only a few minutes to the park entrance. Even if you get there later in the day and have to park in the boonies, it's still not that far of a walk.

Strollers can roll right onto the monorail or ferry to Magic Kingdom so aside from any tram or bus rides, you'll never have to collapse it.

Even if you do use the tram, it'll only take a minute or two to fold the stroller, heft it onto the tram and then get yourselves onto the tram. A few moments of inconvenience for many hours of enjoyable use of the stroller. I consider it a good trade-off.

I took my BOB jogger last year and got it on and off all the buses, monorails and boats without a problem

I take my gigantor double jogger with me every time we go. We take the disney buses and it isnt that big a deal to get on and off the buses with it. People give you looks like "why do they have such big strollers" I just give them the polite "because I have two kids" smile and think to myself....its DISNEY be nice....LOL

I've been debating back and forth about what double stroller to take - my kids are 4 and 2 and weigh 49 lbs and 38 respectively. I have a BOB Revolution Duallie which is my first choice because it's SO easy to push but my concern was the awkwardness of taking it on the plane (we went to Hawaii last year with it and one of the bolts that holds one of the rear wheels bent when I gate checked it - it still worked fine but just looked funny). I thought about buying a used Maclaren twin stroller and then reselling after Disney but that was squashed when I stopped at Babies R Us and found out that the kids didn't fit well together (too narrow and my 4 yr old's feet hit the ground - not good if he fell asleep while in the park).

So.... I've decided to do this - invest in a travel bike bag to put the double jogger in when I gate check it and remove the wheels before putting it in the bag so not to risk them bending again (BOB sent me new bolt for free and fixed the issue). Is it annoying at that very moment when I have to break down the stroller and retrieve it at the plane's entrance - yes. But I decided that 15 minutes total annoyingness will be well worth it for the 10 days we'll be in FL and pushing 2 heavy kids in a very easily pushable stroller.

We have a similar size jogging stroller. It is a pain to get on the trams so we would just walk from the parking lot to the TTC. If you get there early enough, you should be close enough that the walk isn't bad. Our stroller barely fits when folded on the tram so walking was always the easiest way to deal with it. Plus we need all the exercise we can get anyway. :)

To us, having a stroller that our ds still fit in (he's tall for his age but still didn't have the stamina to not need it) plus something that was very easy for us to push all day long, was really worth any hassle involved in bringing it. jmo
